Monster trucks are cool, but I just don't get the point of the 'sport', it might as well be sponsored by Dulux, what the hell do they even score these guys on? They can do three things, jump, run over cars, and roll over, that's it. Even the side by side racing they used to do made more sense than this 'freestyle' rubbish.

Saw them in the cork showgrounds donkeys years ago, great when you're a kid, but really I think once you've seen them a few times thats it.
I guess for me its not unlike drifting, the long term appeal isn't there from a spectator point of view, somehow both sports are massive draws in the US.

The thing that is more concerning is the proximity of the fans to the area and how low they are, I thought after that accident many many years ago, no fan was allowed to site lower the the height of the truck?
