To get rid of the update from your notification tray, long press it until app info comes up then go in and press force close. This at least gets rid of it from the top notification panel until you reboot when it'll return.

Other than that, I prefer the Nexus 4 (despite only getting the 8gig version compared to 16 gig + SD for my S4). Part of that may be as I used CyanogenMod on my S2 so vanilla feels more familiar than TW does.
In general, I find it snappier, the interface cleaner and I'd frozen all the gimmicks on the S4 anyway while the battery, despite being smaller, seems about the same.

Use the Google Edition Rom. Same thing.

this i'd love to know as well, at the start i was getting them on viber as well but i figured out how to stop that. i now just need to figure out how to stop them coming by email..

Go into settings in the mail app and and untick 'SYNC SMS'.

Just got a 50mb or so update on Meteor S4. Not sure what it is, installed it, cant see anything new as yet.

Installing this when I get home. Wonder what it's for.

On another note ended up spending 50 euro data roaming in Berlin. And I wasn't even using it that heavily. Joke.

I have this phone for just over a week and have to say its the best phone I've ever owned, managed to get a 32GB card for the phone and official flip case, plus insurance was cheap enough for it, 11.99 per month with vodafone.

That seems a bit expensive for insurance if you ask me. Mine was €7.99 a month with emobile

Ive had one since May and its a brilliant phone! No problems with it until about two weeks ago when sometimes when i go to check to see if i have any txts, missed calls etc it just shutsdown and restarts again!
Anyone else have this problem?

Seems every phone I get always has something wrong with it!

Yes mine is playing up the past week, it just dies for no reason and sometimes it completely drains the battery too even if there is 20/30 percent left. I have done factory reset but its still at it and tried a different charger Is this a common issue?

Has anyone noticed any issue with the quality of the writing on the screen? The font seems to have gotten a bit fuzzy over the weekend, on everything from txt messages to websites.

Font generally changes when watching a video in the video hub, try closing all the apps or restarting the phone. Otherwise could be a hardware issues.

I've noticed if I have a video running in the background and dont close it, it stays fussy till it finishes or I close the app.

Had a problem last night while charging my phone normally it only takes 2hrs for a full charge but it was nearly 3 and a half hrs and it still wasnt full

Go into your application manager in settings, and force close Samsung Link. Then it won't appear.

Restart got rid of it for me on Meteor.

Is LTE/4g is a visible option under Settings, More Networks, Mobile networks, Network Mode for anyone else? I've told Meteor to enable me on 4G but it doesn't appear to be working even though I am in a 4G area.
