If memory serves me right, it's mainly just a "welcome to Trinity, if there is an emergency call this extension instead of dialling 999...". They tweak it slightly depending on your general area (I was in Science, so we had some slides about lab safety).

It normally takes place in a 300-or-so seater theatre with a few other courses so nobody would have noticed your absence.

You didn't miss much. Just a lot of talk from the senior tutor and student union, etc and our apprehensions and excitements for the year. The course meeting today is probably and tomorrow is probably all you need
