If you're a girl take it as a compliment.

If you're a lad, you probably don't and shouldn't care.

Definitely a compliment. I'm 26 and people say I look early 30s. Pricks.

Sounds like the Ken Barlow excuse here, I thought she was 17 M'lud!

It's probably just people stating fact. You look young.

There you go. Whether you're insulted by it or complimented by it is up to you isn't it?

You'll be glad of it as you get older, go with it!

People are generally shocked I'm as old as I am. I like it :D

The older you get, the more of a compliment it will be. Don't complain :)

I'm 28 and keep getting asked for ID lately, not sure whether to be annoyed or delighted!

    It's a compliment. I'm 24 and I get told that I look like I'm 16

Be delighted, and get an age card!

I got one a few years back because places stopped accepting driving licence as ID. Well worth €15. I'm 31 and still have to carry it!

Is it just me or do men look very young these day anyway?

I've been told I look my age but that I've been told I look younger alright. When I was in my early 20's people thought I was still a teenager!:D

    When I was 24/25 I was still asked for ID!? :P I'm 28 now.

In my 30s and always told I look mid 20s. Everyone is getting older, uglier, fatter, baldy. I'm just getting better and better.

I was in the US one summer on holiday and while in Florida I asked for a glass of wine, I had no make-up on but they asked for my ID! Luckily I was 21 at the time! Though in New York I had my make-up on asked for a glass of wine and was not asked for ID!? Same holiday and 21.

Throughout most of my 20's i've been asked for ID at pubs/late bars and nightclubs. Very rarely would I not be asked. I was always asked for ID when out in the cities.

It's a compliment I guess but gets annoying at times. I got asked for ID buying a lighter recently. And a woman called to my door and asked "is your mammy home?"

For the record I live alone and I'm 25. Slightly humiliating.

I got asked for ID in Aldi a few weeks ago. I would have thought my crow's feet were a dead giveaway.

That's happened to me too and I think it's embarrassing. I'm nearly 27 and look 16 or 17.

Well the crow didn't come off any better I'd imagine.

I'd be grateful for it, OP. I'm 21 and I've looked older than my age since I was about 14. I hardly ever get IDed anymore, it's depressing.

My boyfriend is nearly 27 and looks the same age as me, the lucky fecker. People probably think I'm a cougar or something.

    I know the feeling :P

    I'm 22, whenever I'm I.D'd, I'm usually told Ilook 14, 15 max. I take it as a compliment.

I'm 25, and short! So I always get told I look about 16.

I don't take it as a compliment. I find people tend to talk down to me and bang into me on the street and it's very insulting.

Depends on how they say it and I'm still unsure whether its a blessing or a curse. I'm 30 and when clean shaven with a new haircut and I'd get asked for ID buying cigarettes.
