Great find, tax free motoring for 9 months and you'd still get €500 for it next year. It would make a great students/beginners car, already dented so a new whack wouldn't hurt too much and apart from insurance probably no bills until the end of term next year.

I think that's a write off, the drivers side rear quarter panel is pushed out, suggests chassis damage to me

Chassis damage? Doesn't look like it was hit that hard. Looks more like bad parking too me. Door boot and bumper all look like they line up fine.

edit- there is a weird gap between the taillight on the side and the boot though - It might be worse than it looks in the pictures. Seen much cleaner examples for the same money. I'd proceed with caution on that one.

A 3 door starlet? It'll sell all day long.

That car is not a write off. The(very light) ripple on the quarter panel looks to be unrelated to the dent in the boot and cosmetic at that. Chassis damage my eye

my eye my eye. Opinions not allowed here? In my opinion it could be written off but considering the photos you could also be right. I've seen family n friends hatchbacks that had damage like above, i.e. shunt, that were wrote off, ripple seems to come out to suggest so

    €650 for the 75, he'll probably take €500

Long NCT even a few weeks tax left. That's a lot of comfort for very little money...

Perfect example of bangernomics comfy motoring as opposed to the brutal spartan bangers posted here sometimes (no offence to the posters!). If it fails the NCT on something costing more than €200, just scrap it. If it passes, happy days for another year...

    My ads on adverts.ie:

Victron stuff for sale, Multiplus-II, Quattro, other inverters and batteries and usually some watches!

Not sure about the claims a wheel capped C180 looks like a cosworth 'coz it has a spoiler, also can't see many prizes for this bus at any shows.

But if ya knock a few dollars off the asking, with 10 months test, ya prob won't go far wrong.

    Not that again :pac:

It is awfully cheap though. Probably pick it up easily enough for €900. What other low mileage '05 car with 2 years NCT can be got for that kinda money? None.

And this one is big and comfy too, and the engine is <2l so not extremely big by any Irish standards. Why has it not sold in the 2 weeks it has been for sale?

Wouldn't normally post a Laguna II but as everyone knows the facelift ones are 70% less flakey

The Alto is a one owner car.

Drive it until NCT time next June, NCT it for another 2 years, sell it and get every cent back you paid for it now, maybe more

Not my cup of tea, but nonetheless one of the best finds here this year, Colm.

Alto is one owner in Ireland, reg is import by the looks of it.
I wouldn't drie it but would be lovely for her, paid more than that for the yaris.

Expensive for what it is, but there are a lot of people in this country blindly going for so called reliable cars. If I were the seller, I'd hold out for most of my asking price :D

Well they definitely are one of the most reliable cars out there and if that car could be got for 1k it wouldn't be bad value imo. There are however cleaner examples out there for similar money if one looks hard enough;)

Oh of course they are, sorry if my post came across the wrong way :) That ripple doesn't suggest chassis damage to me though. In my experience the panel in question is usually kinked outwards in that event. I could of course be wrong however and you could be right or vice versa.

Bought one of these older (97) 1.4 civics a few years off a guy that admitted he hadn't changed the oil in years. Gave it a full service and she was grand.

Don't listen to the occasional Jap car hating gob****e that questions everything & anything pertaining to hondas being reliable. Hondas of that era are bulletproof.
