I've tried many just to made sure that BF3 wasn't actually designed to be used with a joystick (and I've spent 100s of hours flying with one in BF2). Then I tried Xbox controller. Still nothing. It seems either I can't configure the bloody thing properly or BF3 works best with the keyboard and mouse. My 2c.

I use a wired xbox 360 pad when flying when i remember to pick it up.

one of the logitech wingman isn't bad.
I use a 7 year old microsoft force feedback sidewinder 2...still one of the best joysticks ever made
works a treat

I use teh Ps3 pad, its so comfortable, I can imagine playing with a yoke now. Maybe I should as its been a long time since i played with me yoke.
