I would, but logically I cannot pay the top rate of tax for a second car, considering I already pay 1500 on the 535! If that were an option I would buy that 6.0 v12 jag xj that is for sale down in tipperary. I would want a car either pre 83, or close to 83.

Plus, that specific one is off road 5 years meaning there is a myriad of problems waiting, and also it is a 99 meaning I couldnt get classic insurance (must be 98 or lower for prestige/rare brands and 93 or younger otherwise)

Aye the ford is a beut. But, she's manual and I wouldnt get a manual truck. The mustang is too far gone for me, I would be open to looking for something with possibly a little bit of work needed alright but not a full restoration

To be fair it has been sitting for about 3 years now.

Nah anyway, I think I'l be going down the american route. If that truck is still there in november (the ford) I will go look at it and see if (a) I like it enough to live with the manual 'box and (b) if he'd take a lowball offer of 5k

I know the guy selling this.

I can't say I'm not tempted but I think it would confirm I'm mental if I did buy it

So after my past refill in the 535d, I calculated that I was getting 29mpg. This tank was pretty much all short-ish journeys, and m50 cruising (from the redcow to blanch and back)

I reckon 29mpg aint so bad - considering I wasn't driving her in any way economically!

That wouldnt have taken off over a hill in the backarse of nowhere between balitore and inch somewhere though!

Finding out how to totally disable the traction control may not have been the best idea. On the plus side, I will now be able to burn through the chinese tyres!

Oh and, I have moved onto my next car related target.

Going to postpone the american muscle idea until next year when I will have a proper budget to buy something off the wall that isnt in total rag order.

This one would probably fit on the back of the dodge ram that I was looking at. Again, no link till I go and see it. But, think small(ish) and classic.

    I just worked out mine....42mpg
Thats over 4000km, half of which would be long trips on the motorway at 130km/hr the other half flat oot on the back roads (including one trip that google maps says should take 1hr41 and actually took 1hr10:D )
