Lads what customs / duties charges are there on these products ? Would love to buy some but don't want to get hit with massive bills when they arrive.

    Yeah.

23% on items over €23. Sometimes they waive it on items up to €30.

Roughly 30 days unless you pay for faster shipping, which you also pay vat on.
It can take 21 - 30 days to arrive at your door.

If its over the value of 22 euro you have to pay an extra 23%. Sometimes it can work out a bit less though. When i used DHL they sent me a text saying I must forward on the receipt and then they worked out how much I had to pay.

    Thanks for all the replies.

One last question.. what is the normal shipping cost to Ireland

    Standard and Fast.

I know it will change depending on the weight of the item.. But I wouldn't be ordering anything to heavy.. Heaviest thing would be a pair of runners.. so maybe 1kg - 2 kg

    thanks.

Many of them do free delivery. But that can take up to 30 days. The same length of time that you have to complain/get a refund. Or very close to that time.

EMS/DHL/UPS/Singapore post etc.. All give an expected delivery time, and cost varies from store to store.

Thing with this is, if customs do take it I can see them requesting paperwork to verify how much it cost as they won't believe it to be cheap. If it's counterfeit, can it be destroyed by customs?

    Only if it's counterfeit.

For example if it's SOMETHING LIKE THIS they will destroy it.

Jiayu G3 should be safe enough.

You will have all of the paperwork/Receipts/Credit Card Transactions etc..

Ali express must know there is something fishy about the seller at this stage. I can't see them having an issue with refunds given the amount of people affected.

just recieved a reply from ali express :)

    Hi Darren,

    Thank you for contacting AliExpress.

Hello. My name is Sarah and I will be more than willing to assist you with your concern. After reading your email, I was able to determine that you are having a concern about your order that you want a full refund. I highly agree with your statement and don't worry, I can absolutely assist you with your concern.

For us to process a full refund on your account, you are advised to open a dispute. After checking our database, I noticed that the order is shipped on August 31 and the "Open Dispute" button will be available after 5 days since your supplier enters the tracking number. Therefore, you may open a dispute 5 days after August 31 until the date that the money will be released to the supplier. I'm afraid that if you will try to open a dispute, the open dispute is not yet available. Please be reminded that you can open a dispute on September 5, 12:23 PM PST until the deadline of your order which is on October 9.

To proceed with processing your refund, I highly recommend that you have an open communication with your supplier and agree on a mutual refund solution.

In order for you to file for a dispute please follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to the "My Orders" section of your AliExpress account by clicking here
    2. This will bring you to all the orders you have made on AliExpress
    3. On the right-hand side of the order, you will see several options and you can just click "Open Dispute"

For a step by step process on how to file for a dispute, please click here.

Please note that after submitting the Open Dispute form, the supplier has 15 days to respond and try to reach an agreement with you.

If no agreement is reached, you can escalate dispute as early as 3 days after you've opened your dispute or until the 15-day time period has expired in which case, the dispute automatically becomes a Claim and will be reviewed and mediated by the AliExpress Case Management Specialist. If the package is still in transit, the dispute will be automatically escalated after the seller’s promised delivery time is expired.

I promise that your money will not be released to the supplier during the dispute and claim process. If only I can process the refund for you as soon as possible so that you no longer need to wait for some days, I will do it. Unfortunately, I don't have the power to do so. I hope that you can understand me and I am so sorry about this.

If you are pertaining to other order number, please provide me the relevant order number and I will be more than willing to assist you.

I know that the issue is not yet been solved but I am hoping that I was able to give my 100% service to you and you are satisfied with the customer service I have provided. It is my pleasure assisting you and I am hoping that the issue will be resolve. If you have some clarifications, don't hesitate to send me an email and I will be more than willing to provide my help. If I was not able to meet your expectations, please inform me so that I can improve my service. Have an awesome day, Darren!

If you have further question, please visit our Help Center at Contact Us or contact us any time.

    Sarah

    This thread is hilarious

Some of you took a gamble knowing that the chances that it would pay off were tiny but also not expecting to get your money back because you treated it like a long odds bet.

however, the rest of you are all getting 'outraged' because you were scammed but you knew the price was wrong when you ordered so you were either trying to take advantage of a mistake( and ripping off an honest supplier) or you knew it was a scam but you foolishly thought that you are more clever than the scammer and you'd get your money back without any problem

You're the perfect marks for any scammer
Greedy and stupid but you think you're smart enough to beat the scam.

When you're done losing money to this scammer, I've got a lovely game of 3 card monte for you to play. You're practically guaranteed to win :)

I am definately going to try to claim back, but if i dont get a refund I dont really give a ****. I took a gamble on getting a high spec phone for little money...and for that thinking alone, I should probably pay a stupidy fine on top of the price of the phone! As Akrasia said (if in a slightly high-horsed way), the outrage is a bit much

Lots of that doesn't make sense, but it says at the end, you can open a dispute today, have you?

Also, if the tracking number is fake (which it allegedly is), then that also may slow down the whole process. While it may be likely that everyone will be refunded, it may take up to two months.
Unless Aliexpress are getting stick from all the other Countries (Which i assume they are), they may just escalate it after 30 days, and be done with it.

It's 19:57PM over there now, and at the moment, it's 04:57AM PST, so you can't open it for another 8 hours... Probably won't be acknowledged until tomorrow anyway.

You have to wait until 12:23PM PST..

Reposted and deleted previous post, because i had my times all jumbled up.

I ordered one. I'm in the not much fussed camp. In a few days I most likely will open a dispute but I may even wait to see what arrives. Won't be kicking up a stink if nothing arrives or a fake arrives. Normally don't even bother with these things but seeing as I can open a dispute and get money back even if it takes a while, I said why not try. Only €23 and not really expecting anything to arrive.
