Well I've been trying to stay the hell away from proto/beta carts for obvious enough reasons.

However, when I saw this, I couldn't resists. Keep in mind, the release date for this game is 1995. So when I saw a cart with 1993 written on it..well, you know how it is...

Not as much as it'll be worth if it turns out to have different code ;)

Can't see it dumped around anywhere either.

Looks like it was also on the Amiga too, but again, release date is 1995 (phew!).

Anyone know much about The Legendary Starfy, aside from the contents of Wikipedia?
Jack was asking in the car so I bought it on ebay, as a carrot for good behaviour on return to school!
Also, I've Pikmin 2 for the Wii incoming as well as a couple of PS3 games and a copy of Game and Watch Collection for the DS, the Ninty Club title.

have it on NDS, didn't finish it but enjoyed the part I played, IMO kinda like a Kirby game I guess, it's simple/easy but fun.
    (Starfy is sooo cute <3)

Jack was scanning a Pikmin-apedia and found a reference, asked me for it, gonna use it as a carrot for good behaviour in school for the first few weeks!

Just bought Looping, Zaxxon and DK Jr for the Colecovision, now that Kerbdog put a new power switch in and repaired the mo'bo inside.
    Happy days!
    Dirt controllers though :(

Just bought Super Mario RPG for the Snes, €38 including shipping!
It's cart only but I'm pleased, one of those games I've always wanted.

Yup, just need a mouse that works which is why the PS/2 to Amiga mouse adapter will do the trick. Optical mouse woot!

Have a USB to Amiga mouse adapter myself, very handy indeed. Nice to see some Amiga love around here. :)

I've heard of this Amiga love...
It all sounds a bit weird tbh...
Wasn't it mostly the purview of also weird Germans and Dutch people?
With magazines with queer little small ads for devices no one outside the niche understood?
    .
    ..
    Or is that porn?

    I get so mixed up....

    This one?

Seemed to be the standard Amstrad joystick - wasn't the best from my memory of using it but had the joystick controller through-port

No definately had the other one. I do recognise the other one though as well.

I had the two button one long ago but didn't like the feel of the buttons, I remember there was almost no spring tension .

The best one to me was the Suzo " The Arcade "

    1486.jpg

I used them on my Atari 400/800/ST/C64/Amiga

Those wobbly ones on four suction cups where called Quickshot , right ?

Yep, Quickshot, used them for the C64. Slightly different to the one picture above though. The non-micro switch versions were rubbish, ignorance was bliss I guess.

My favourite stick from back then was the mighty Zip Stik, awesome it was.

You can still find lots of those Suzo's on Marktplaats.nl if you look for commodore joystick as they where made in Rotterdam Holland .
I still have two boxed .

Actually speaking of joysticks and Amigas, the MD joypad works perfectly with them if anyone is ever stuck for a controller. Not the same experience but better than nothing.

I remember being amazed when I went over to a friends house as a kid and saw he was using a Megadrive pad with his Amiga. Thought it was some kind of sorcery!

The real benefit of using a MegaDrive/Genesis controller, you get a second fire button for certain games on the Amiga :) unsure about the Atari ST

Pikmin 2 for the Wii arrived today, which is great, going to get the first one as well despite already having it on the GC.
Also got Need for Speed : The Run for the ps3.
Time will tell if it's been patched into playability or if it should be called The Runs instead!
On a brighter note, it was free!
