Overclocking Fx 6300 and Sapphire 7870xt

I built a system from a previous thread here on boards,

Its a pretty sweet system but I decided to try my hand overclocking it this evening.
I have the CPU voltage up to 1.464 and the multiplier up to 24. The clock speed is up to 4.8 using this thread, as suggested by Marco Polo, http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/fx-8350-8320-6300-4300_9.html#sect0

Luckily it seemed pretty easy, thankfully as I am a newb at this.

I have downloaded Prime 95 to stress test the settings.
I went with Blend testing for 20 mins to trial it out and see if I it was going to melt or explode. I know that thats no where near long enough.

Should I give it a lash with the small FFTS test run and leave it overnight or is it safe to do so? If it overheats will it turn itself off or will it continue on?

For the GPU I downloaded the Sapphire Trixx program and upped the clock speed to 1050/1500, up from 975/1500. I came across an article suggesting 1200 CS but that might be a bit ambitious.

Any thoughts or should I plow on and see how I get on?.
