    When did you pre-order?

Just checked my online order made on the 19th June with Gamestop and got this reply :)

"Your order number for the PS4 is xxxxx. This will be guaranteed to get to you for launch day."

I asked my Mrs to take the day off to look after the kids for me and so she can see the look of my face when I get my PS4! She said "more like the look on your face after waiting for the delivery man all day and he did not turn up"

Finally gonna make a preorder (after seeing what cash I can get from CEX). I know I won't be getting it launch day and don't mind that at all but I hate the unknown. Xtravision said they have no idea when the 2nd batch will be in but I will definitely get one in the 2nd batch.

So, just to decide on Xtravision, Smyths or Gamestop (want a local B&M shop that I can trade games against it.)

I see 4 HMV shops are re-opening in 2 weeks time. Wonder if they will be stocking PS4!

I've already asked them, they don't know if they'll have an allocation.

Just saw in Harvey Norman Drogheda today that they are still accepting pre orders. Bit weird considering I am reading so much about places refusing any more pre orders!

I rang HN in Limerick. They told me I'd be first on the list of pre-orders, and that was 4 days ago. All I needed to do was to put down a deposit.

The guy was blatantly lying to me, as I find it very hard to believe that nobody else has pre-ordered with them, given it's practically impossible to get one in the first wave at this stage.

Yeah its a weird one to call! If I recall right it was early this month when SONY called a halt on outlets taking pre orders like Amazon and Gamestop told me that they need to be told by SONY when to stop taking pre orders?

Now unless each outlet has a certain number of Units allocated to it then HN would probably have a lot more pre orders to fill! But I do find HN sales persons the equivalent of used car salesmen anyways!

It's not so much that sony stopped them taking pre orders its that Sony won't be able to fill any more orders received after this date to ensure delivery for launch day, if HN put in an order of a few hundred before that point it would likely be filled and they can dish them out in pre orders or just put them on the shelves in november.

Was in the Wexford store of Game stop yesterday, and the guy behind the counter said there was over 300 people on the waiting list for the PS4. He said some teenagers who put their name on it had the start have been cancelling their orders though.

I asked him how he thinks it will work regarding their store, and he said they will be calling people closer to the time, to let them know when they can come in.

I'm in a bit of a predicament, I have AC4, watch dogs, knack and COD PO with Gamestop. At the moment on Amazon if I were to order the games there I could save around a tenner per game. So I'm thinking of maybe just getting 1 game at launch and ordering the rest off Amazon, the only thing that kills me with ordering with them is the waiting.... And if I were just to get the 1 game which to choose?

Sure if you're saving €30 or so, the wait will be made all the more sweeter because you'll have €30 to throw off your next game

I pre-ordered mine 2 days after the february reveal. I would be the one to "Make a show of them" if someone who only pre-ordered 5 weeks ago, goes into the store and demands the console ahead of me. That is selfish and stupid.

I know right your correct but when I ask 2 managers 3 times that I'm guaranteed one on launch and they adamantly say yes to the stage that I was pissing them off asking them wouldn't you not be pissed off on launch day ?

Sorry but I have no sympathy for people who have just pre-ordered in the last month or so not getting one, if you really wanted it that bad you would of ordered in February like a lot of us here did, you will have war in shops if people who ordered months ago do not get one and somebody who ordered so late on does get one.

Ordered mine in Gamestop in Blanch the day after E3. Apparently I was number 10 on their list at that time.

I see somebody was able to check their order online but, since I ordered mine in the shop, I couldn't find any way to confirm online. Does anyone know a way to confirm?

Also, what d'you think the situation will be regarding games themselves? I preordered Watch_Dogs and Killzone but I'm liking the look of Knack more and more lately.

And, has there been a game price confirmed yet? Gamestop reckoned they'll be 65ish which is seriously ouch!

Also, I'm flogging mine off at launch for 800 quid*

*Just messin' they can bugger off :)

Should be 55-60 euro for games, but if you get them on amazon, you will be saving yourself nearly 10 quid per game

Yeah, think I'll leave it to the first two. Think I'll be leaving the rest to Amazon alright.

55-60 I suppose is about the current going price really.

Which is what I'm gonna do now. Have decided I'm gonna get AC4 at launch and order COD & Watch dogs with Amazon. Gonna hold off on Knack awhile.

Planning on doing a lot more online gaming when I get my PS4, can anyone recommend a good headset?
Was thinking of maybe getting this one but to be honest I don't have a clue if its worth the price or not.

Hoping FIFA and AC4 are two of the games in the upgrade program.

Going to pick up Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 for launch and upgrade FIFA hopefully. Will get the AC upgrade if it's not too pricey.

All Ubi games are in the upgrade program. Personally I'd just hold out for the next gen versions. There won't be many decent launch titles and I have a ton of old games to get through as it is so I'll have plenty to play over christmas and the new year on PS4.
