Really, where did you that thought from?

    That's what you implied.

No abuse of players went on here that wasn't dealt with anyway.

No it wasn't or at least my reply was to what I thought was general comment from .ak

not going arguing with a mod on this but imho I'd disagree on that. Though this site is probably one of the best in dealing with trolling/wuming.

How do you differentiate criticism and abuse?

    Idiots are everywhere, unfortunately.

Really, abusing people over the internet over somebody else's selections... Bottom of the barrel stuff there.

You made it specifc to this forum by saying:
    phog wrote: »

Or can you clarify what you meant by 'happened a bit here'?
Or are you now going to be obtuse and say you were referring to another incident?

So what did you mean by that, and can you give examples of this abuse?

    Very easily.

... And we can drop the subject now. We have a zero tolerance policy on abuse towards any players or otherwise. If you think we've missed something then your welcome to PM us - but always report posts you may think break the charter.

keith wood is still stoking up this ugly situation with his comments this week about gatland ruining the lions and its concept and the traditions
woody is talking 24 carrot crap and every rugby fan knows it. He is also making us irish look like really bad sports which we are not. he should apologize and shut up.
he is plain wrong. we smashed the aussies won the series and jon davies was superb and deserved his place.

What? You mean with these comments?
"I was glad to see the Lions win at the end, absolutely.
"And I thought it could have been a bit more exciting.
"I thought there could have been a bit more flair, a bit more of a blend of the four teams.
"Someone asked me earlier on: 'Was he [Gatland] vindicated?' I think [he was] vindicated to the point that Lions won a Test series.
"But in some way I think the Lions lost a little bit in the summer because I didn't think it was a blend of four teams."
"I've never said there were too many Welsh players on the team. That wasn't the point," said Wood.
And he says O'Driscoll came out of the controversy "fantastically well".
Wood added: "My view still is that the best option was to have him on the squad as a leader, as everything else in it.
"The fact that he wasn't needed on the day doesn't actually change that view.
"It's fantastic [that we won] and we did need to win and I argue against myself a little bit in relation to that."

He's certainly not embarrassing me. Everything he says is logical and fair in my opinion.

We didn't smash the Aussies, the series could well have been over before the third test if Beale hadn't slipped taking the penalty at the end of the first test. In a way if that test had been 10mins longer they'd have won as they were getting very much on top towards the end of that game.

Granted we won well in the third test and ran away in the second half of that game but it could well have been a different story.

Wood has been out of order. He has stoked the fires that allowed the plastic rugby lion fan express outrage. Never have I heard such vile abuse against the Lions well worse that Woodward in 05

gatland is a winner ,what? In the sense of the Lions. Yes. Wood doesn't disagree with this. his record is phenomenal I would not disagree with this, nor has Keith Wood he picked his team This is true, he got hideous abuse from our fans for it 1. Such abuse would have come from the corners of the internet we on here do not visit and such comments have nothing to do with Wood. 2. "our fans" is very generous of you. I would have gone with cretins, and the player who replaced BOD was threatened o be battered on the internet and twitter See previous point...yet gats was proven right. In the sense that he won yes, and I'm sure in most British eyes he is too. But to some, including me, his series victory does not justify his selection of Davies over BOD in mine, and Wood's opinion. wood should shut his gob his comments are a disgrace. No. They are not. The abuse thrown at Davies is disgraceful.

I think you've got things muddled up there. More like:

Manager picks team. team wins the series.

Months pass and nobody cares about it anymore. Someone can't let sleeping dogs lie, and asks Wood if his opinion has changed, it hasn't. More people like st.paddy drag up old news and lambast Wood for not changing his opinion.

    Yawn.

I'd be more concerned if Wood changed his opinion post game. OR anyone else for that matter.

Speaking of disgruntled Leinster fans and dragging up old arguments; POC should have been cited and never toured :pac:

Garland played puke rugby for the vast majority of the tour season, it's time to move on from bod being oddly and unfairly scapegoated for the second test but wood has a point. I much preferred the 09 toir

What are all the comments about **** and **** in the media recently referring to? Did they have a falling out or what? I know this isn't a lot to do with the lions but I couldn't think of anywhere else to ask.

That's a banned subject. Nothing to do with rugby.

Having seen some of the two games between the ABs and the Wallabies makes you wonder how the Lions Tour would have ended had it been to New Zealand, almost frightening really.

    This is hilariously hysterical

Firstly, some of the abuse, as with most points of contention these days, was horrible, but the vast majority was reasoned, but of course it suits your agenda to imply that it was all lunatic threatening to assault Gatland

Secondly, this notion that "he got the result" is balderdash, Gatland beat a poor Australian side in absolute disarray playing horrible rugby that was painful on the eyes. It has taken the shine off the Lions for me and others
