From what I remember you get an email from campus security and you go buy a lock from them, they are located in the multistorey car park. They paint the locks a different colour every year and if you use your own lock they'll cut it off. You return the lock at the end of the year for some or all of your money. There are also locks in nursing and business buildings if I remember correctly
