I'd take Milner for £10-£12 million.

    :D
We've gotten Sturridge, Aspas, and Cou for that kind of Money. All whom are better than Milner IMO.

Time will tell, but I don't think Aspas is as good as you think he is. I agree the others are better players but they play in completely different positions to Milner???

Is 1 game a bit early to judge?

I've watched him in La Liga, before he came to us.

Celta Vigo was my Minnow Club there along with Rayo.

    Apparently not. We're aiming higher.

Not everyone said that so stop saying "we" the views of one person arent representative of everyone ;)

It wasn't his 1st game of football ever.

I'm sure Raif is judging him on his time with Celta de Vigo

I'm delighted with the way he has preformed for Liverpool so far.

Someone should start tweeting that we are bidding for Milner. Get the ball rolling.

So one of Rodgers biggest detractors believes that James Milner is the answer? Good grief, we just offloaded Downing, Carroll and Shelvey now we should bring in another vastly overated Englishman.

You never know, he could be available for that price. He has a lot of competition ahead of him in the City squad and it's a world cup year. I would not be surprised to see him move in this window.

    Another Downing imo

I would be surprised to see him go. Exactly the kind of player that City need in their squad, and one I think Pellegrini will value.

I would take him too . He hasn't looked out of place in the City team when he has played . He would also improve our starting 11 .

    No shít!

Lets see how he adapts to the premiership. Loads of players have come to us looking like quality players elsewhere over the years and failed.

I'll not judge him either way until a sustained run in the team.

    He looked ok Saturday btw.

Do you think he would be a good purchase for say £12M?

Not really. I'd rather use that money to beef up an offer for Pappa for example. Or maybe try an sign Eriksson. Milner is a solid defensive minded winger, I don't think that's an area that needs to be improved on when we have other glaring issues. I'd spend the £12m on an attacked minded winger.

Watching Suso like this makes me sad. I have the fear that he just doesn't suit the English game and we're going to end up letting him go.

If that's true then the same is true for Coutinho and Silva. They seem to be doing okay.

Milner is the best player in the league at running up and down until the final whistle.

Can you really not see the difference between Downing & Milner?

    Over rated Englishman like Sturridge?

He's better than Downing. He at least takes on his Defender.

He does most of the Yeoman's Work at Man City, that's usually don't get notice.

I actually like him. But for the Money being bandied? I think we can do better.

This is the crux of it.

    He's out of our league.

Pretending we're out of his is ****ing deluded. But that's kind of the general theme in here now :(

Yeah, we are really short on attacking players!

I like Milner, under rated, but not the type of player I'd be thinking of.

James Milner predominantly plays as a wide player. He doesn't create chances or score goals. I would have rated Downing higher.

I think Sturridge was an underated English man.
