Ward has simply no presence whatsoever for a Goalkeeper. Once Fulton recovers, he'll be ahead of Ward in the Pecking-Order.

So if that's fine and you know they are busy trying to complete other signings then I don't see what you're complaining about.

    Not really complaining am I?

Just saying I'm not particularly blown away by the signing of Cissikho & that we still need another couple of quality first team players to be brought in.

What is possibly the problem with saying that?

Anyone else blown away by Rossiter? He looks so accomplished for a 16 year old.

His next indiscretion should see him booked.

we still need a couple of quality signings to go straight into our first team

Did I win the prize for 1000th poster to say that in the last couple of weeks?

It's obviously down to the right players in those positions not being available.

Edit: In case you haven't realised, it is being mentioned on a more frequent basis as it is increasingly looking like the players that we all agree are needed won't be singed this window. I hope they will but I really don't see enough evidence to suggest that 2/3 quality players will be added.

Then you must ask why that is happening.

It's important to keep re-iterating this IMO. Otherwise the goalposts will be moved in an effort to heap praise on management/FSG.

If we get the Cissokho who starred for Lyon, we have a quality signing there. I haven't seen him in Spain so I don't know how he is playing now.

Why are you so insistent on managing the expectations of people you hardly even know or even judging by the way you post sometimes, like.

Liverpool lead 3-2. But Utd have the upper hand, Liverpool are running on fumes

I'm calling it now. Jordan Rossiter will be the best central midfielder that the academy has produced since Gerrard. It's frightening just how good this kid is and he's only 16.

Because when we don't sign a couple of quality players to go into the first team some of the same people who had that as a minimum requirement at the start of the window will change their mind.

So it's more about managing that.

He's talking about Cissokho recapturing that form. Kinda like when we bought Joe Cole & hoped he'd recapture his previous form.

Hmm bit of a stretch, no?

Cissokho is a nice to have and is, by no means, a bad thing unless he signing means that the quality that we need are not signed.

Ultimately, he is effectively a squad signing and even if he starts, might only slightly improve the starting 11. As such, his signing doesn't really change anything or hold much significance relative to what we need to be doing.

Not a lot of competition tbf. Spearing, Coady and erm....
David Moyes channeling Professor Xavier there.

He was fantastic for Lyon when I watched him. As I've said I don't know how he is playing now but in terms of ability he has loads. Obviously has lost his way a bit.

Age is the difference here, I would think. Still a big IF. Least its not permanent and we have option to buy if he does show form.
