Nice to see a bit of general positivity in this thread for once :)

Also. Did I read correctly with the 15M for willian!?

Delighted with the result and happy enough with the team performance but there was still a few moments that frustrated the life out of me. Aspas was a bit hit and miss, Sturridge has the odd winge when decisions didn't go his way and Ray Stubbs is gradually becoming the worst pundit/presenter going.

Couthinio, Toure, Lucas, Henderson were brilliant and Johnson probably had his best game I've seen for some time. Not forgetting Simon, that double save at the end should do him the world of good.

Think the criticism Sterling got in here was very harsh, the lad is only 18 ffs and only had 20 minutes or so.

lol, I can actually see myself in that clip. I was in the second row down by pitchside, right in line with the 18 yard line, so straight in front of that lad. I can see myself being agitated at the idiots walking in front of me just as the penalty is being taken. Obviously once the kick is taken I'm lost from view, but my shiny head is definitely visible there near the steward by the hoardings.

It's a brilliant video. You can't beat live football

Coutinho is just an incredible player. Better finishing from our forwards and he could have 20-30 assists this season hes that good. I used to rave about alonso and how he dictated games this guy is only 21 and hes already the centre point of the team. Scary to think what he will be like in a few years.

If he's moved over to the middle full time him and Suarez could be devastating together

It's been gold all summer...from the Suarez fantasy line ups to 'we knew we were never getting him but he's not worth the fee anyway'....last night he was to blame for Higuain going to Napoli. They have also gone from 2-3 signings away from contenders to having a squad good enough to win the title to needing 10 players.

They even have their own LLOYD and Alan who get shouted down when they cut too close to the bone. It's great to be able to watch from the outside. :D

Very happy with the win yesterday, Coutinho is superb, I'd say Rafa would love him at napoli. Not really sure why Suarez doesn't want to be a part of this,he will score a shed load of goals again this season with those players.

It's amazing the way people find a way to bring rafa in to a conversation

Great shot from yesterday, Mignolet was nervous in the second half but towards the end of that half and for the second he played great and won us the game. Daniel, Coutinho and Aspas looked to have a good understanding which will only build as the season goes on, and with the potential signing of Willian, Coutinho will move to his better position to behind the striker.

Kolo, Lucas, Henderson and played great today aswell, Enrique was tough and wasn't pushed off the ball, feeling optimistic about next weekend, hopefully with some players in this week it help us push on

The futures bright, the futures red! :D

I worry about Coutinho staying as we'll, but if we can get back where we belong, top 4 or higher, then let's hope only a Barca or Real could attract him. But if he keeps if he keeps it up, Barca would actually be a good fit! :(

That's how every transfer window will be for us...can we keep him if we don't get a top four finish?

I just wouldn't worry about it right now. Save yerself some bother, til we're crossing that bridge.

Worrying about bids coming in for Couthino in a year or two is pointless. Enjoy the fact that we have a player that looks great at the moment and can get even better. It is better to have players that Real and Barca are intersted in rather than players that only West ham or Newcastle want.

Agreed, it is just a part of the modern game and the fact that other clubs will come after him means he is really good. Looking forward to him destroying defenses.

Kolo is rapidly becoming my favourite player

Kolo's itch to score, while admirable, worried me at times yesterday. His defending was generallys spot on, and he made a few good sensible clearances, though.

Just watching back the game again, from the build up and all..

Pulis talking about skrtel is interesting. Targeted for being weakest passer but identified as best defender. Toure could be completely inspired. Interms of passing and attacking he's a huge improvement as well as equaling carras experience and defensive level. All the time he's here he'll be adding to aggers general well of knowledge. He's the G'Mac.

At least Kolo looks to attack the corners anyway another couple like him would help!!

Will Liverpool ever hurry on and just sign Willian at this stage

Yeah, that was a great insight into that game.

It just occurred to me, that Iago Aspas does look alot like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.

Yeah, but he's still at least 37826372 times less annoying looking.

For someone who has been seemingly signed as a old head with experience for backup, I think he is the reason why interest in other centre halves has disappeared. He's basically come in and got his place in the starting 11 nailed on.
I love the way he attacks every ball at corners, something we have missed.

Great performance all round yesterday. On another day Aspas would have had the game ball. Lucas back to himself, Enrique surprised me....all the talk of another person joining in his position seems to have done the job.

Some credit the Mark Hughes and Stoke, some of their passing and holding on to possession was glorious to watch as opposed to the Pulis Stoke. That style of football will really benefit the likes of Whelan, Wilson and Walters (The WWW) for the national team.

Chris Morgan has started following Willian on Twitter now. Reckon its getting close now.

One of the Reasons why I think will wait and see how both Zouma and Papa develops before making any further Bids for them.

With Skrtel Injured, I don't think we can move him this Transfer Window. So I'm thinking, January will be the Time where will Sign another CB.

Yep, I'm in total agreement on that, Papa will have til January now to get his fitness back up and to show that he's back to where he was pre injury.
