Great interview - Kolo Toure talks to Martin Keown
Ten years ago they were team-mates as Arsenal’s Invincibles went a season unbeaten. Martin Keown and Kolo Toure are still good friends.

Here, they talk Arsenal, Manchester City, Kolo’s drugs ban and his excitement at joining Liverpool.

3 Players in his Position? They only have Bale and Lennon and at a push, Defoe.

    Nacer Chadli?

Could there be work permit issues with Willian? Seems an odd question, but he only has 2 international caps.

Whos going to start up front tomorrow. Is it a little early to have Sturridge starting, not much game time since injury?

Couthinho was already employed in an EU state, his time with Inter and the loan spell with Espanyol, not sure if this would have removed any work permit issues for him whrn signing for Liverpool

As far as I understand it, they just have to prove that he's an exceptional talent to a commission. The transfer fee's he's commanded alone should prove this fairly easily.

No, different countries have different rules. Apparently we got refused a work permit for that Paraguayan left back from Malaga.

I think the difference with Willian would be that if you can prove he gives what no British player can it makes a case in itself, and it's hard to dispute that I'd say. I doubt a permit would be an issue for him.

I reckon ye'll sign yer man.

Where's the money coming from? Very unliverpool like these days?

There's plenty of money. Sure we are spending nothing these days, only cutting costs

Why do you keep asking? It was made clear at the end of last season that there would be a pot of money for a "big" signing, as things stand we're at break even, so 25-30 million "net" spend would hardly be outrageous.

I'd say we are far better than break even Mike when you factor in wages
