    Would be a real coup if we could get Willian but man u would have to bid big to get him considering how much we are purported to have bid. That would mean putting a central midfielder on the back burner unless they are lookig to spend 50-70 mill in the transfer market. Reckon he will not go to Man U and if he did come to us I could see him helping us to lift some silverware.

    Pretty impressive frontish 3 with Suarez, Aspas and Willian in front of Gerrard, Coutinho and Lucas/Allen.

    Even a League Cup trophy and a good run at 4th would be a decent season. European footy next year and showing definite progress. Probably need CL to hang on to LS though.

    Havent got my hopes up on Willian, think the money being asked for is too much, and more importantly people will continully refer to him as William incorrectly and annoy me similar to Adams-gate

    Other angle is that as reported by everyone else we're currently in talks for him but maybe playing a bit of hard ball over fee/wages. His agent drops some hints about United being interested thinking it might get Ian to loosen the purse strings somewhat more quickly.

    Anyone shocked that Champions League clubs are in for Willian really shouldn't be. He was very hot property before going to Anzhi, and the likes of City were strongly linked this summer before Anzhi's owner decided he'd had enough.

    We may have been first to get there, but that doesn't mean much.

    I don't expect Suarez to hang around next season even if we make CL football. That's of course if he has a good enough season to warrant some interest for him next summer from the likes of Madrid. I wouldn't mind so much though as at least we'd have CL football to attract replacements when spending the money from his sale.
