I've just seen proof on twitter that we are signing Willian.

Wait for it................ apparently Willian just 'liked' a picture on Lucas' Instagram account..

Proof indisputible indeed. Our new number 16 has all but signed I'd say.

i'd be fascinated to know what they think we've done to warrant us going ahead of Spurs and Arsenal.

i'd love them to be right obviously, but:

are they assuming we're buying more before the deadline?
are they assuming Spurs have bought duds?
are they assuming Arsenal will be shítter despite no change?
are they assuming no EL is going to have a huge impact on our EPL season?

    arsenal no change?????

1 player in who came from the french second division. great player yes but he is injury prone

12 players out. all squad players but injuries mean that they have no dept at all. even this weekend they look a bit thin for a match squad.

we have signed cisoko on loan. not the marquee we want but its strenghtened the left back spot. if we can get willian and a center back we will have a great squad.

spurs wont finish that low at all. david james is nuts. unless they fail to adapt(which they could) i cant see spurs newbies being flops

hopefully no EL means we are more prepared for each league game but i wont hold my breath since we had the same situation before and never took advantage of it

If we do sign this Willian chap, who by all accounts is quality, and Rodgers manages to make Sturridge/Suarez/Coutinho/Willian work, we could be very formidable.

So from reading goats intestines to parsing Instagram details, and they say we've made progress in the last 600 years.

despite my reservations about the "apology", if he is happy to stay, and it affects nothing in the dressing room, then it's a fantastic bit of work by those involved.

next summer after we qualify for teh champions league we buy a world class striker and sell suarez to the highest bidder:D lol if he can replicate the form from last season(the non bitey part) then im sure we wont give two craps about what happened. he doesnt need to say sorry to us. just to the team and management. the way to apologise to us is to work his ass off on the field and try not to get another suspension

I'm beginning to think that Suarez needs/wants drama in his life. He just seems to create so much of it all the time.

I just like to tell you all that I have no Liverpool players in my fantasyfootball squad....Without doubt we are now going to win the league.

There is too many coincidences happened in recent years that suggest that mepicking a Liverpool player for my fantasy team is similar to the dreadedcommentators curse. Except it last longer and causes more injuries.

Case in point, I had Joe Cole in my team for his nightmare performanceagainst arsenal. Sterling was playing great stuff last year and then I pickedhim (sorry sterling won't do it again). Kelly injury spell last year was downto me..."hungry" Suarez was on team at the moment as well.

So going forward I do solemnly swear not to pick any Liverpool player.

** Please note my fantasy football curse of injuries/sending off/madnessand loss of form does not transfer to united player (lord knows I have tried...are you there Patrice) EVRA!!!!**

    mignolet
    glen---toure---agger---enrique
    Lucas--Gerrard
    Coutinho
    Suarez
    Aspas
    Sturridge

that looks like a strong enough team to be honest

    brad jones
    skrtel
    Cissoko
    llyod jones
    flannagan
    coates
    Kelly
    wisdom
    alberto
    hendo
    allen
    sterling
    borini
    assaidi
    ibe
    sinclair
    morgan
    yesil

then if we sign willian and Papa/toby we would have a great squad considering we only need a squad to play premier league and the domestic cups. we might play 40-50 games this season so we dont need a huge squad by any means

Suarez clearly said 'I want to leave Liverpool' to go on holidays during the summer, but Ayre and the boys had a sweeping brush propped up again the door handle.

Suarez contacted the Guardian through his phone, lucky he had his charger in his gear bag. He told them he was promised summer holidays, basically Ayre thought he wanted out of the club and locked him into the dressing room with only a freezer full of Negredo bars to keep him going. He's been training alone since trying to work off the extra weight.

It also explains the whole Evra thing. Sure wasn't he only inviting Patrice in for an aul ice cream, and the poor lad gets slapped with racism. He saw a bit of an ice cream on Ivanovic's arm, asked politely - 'Bratislav, could I be so kind as to rid your arm of this terrible mess', to which the Chelsea man said, 'Oh please would you?'. Sure then the poor lad gets a ten match ban.

    Fierce misunderstood chap our Luis.

What's the betting that Suarez gets a serious injury this season after all this drama.

    Our first team looks decent.

    Our squad looks weak

Agreed, we need one of the new guys to hit the ground running and I hope Henderson can improve on last year

hopefully if willian comes to the club players like aspas alberto and allen can start to become super subs

our bench looks good but it probably lacks game changers. aside from sterlings pace we dont have alot of players you would be thinking they will come on and score the winner

Christ Newcastle and Swansea ahead of Tottenham, I'll have some of what James is on.

I can think of one wannabe bookmaker who will offer you odds on that any minute now.

Statsbomb article which confirms what most of us knew - Liverpool shoot often and often from the wrong places, and what some of us understood - the defence is not intrinsically bad rather it had some awful off-days.
In fact, Opta confirmed that in the last two seasons for GK playing more than 1000 minutes, only Paddy Kenny had a worse “% of shots in the box saved” number than Pepe Reina. Thankfully this looks to have been addressed with the purchase of Simon Mignolet, a goalkeeper who performs extremely well in just about every GK metric that you care to choose. In a sport of very few goals like football, the theory is that more saves equals fewer goals conceded equals more points

All Coutinho fans also knew this of course :D
Coutinho instantly became the most sublime creative player at Liverpool since the lesser-spotted Jari Litmanen in 2001, a bona-fide Brazilian maestro. He created a superb 2.8 open play chances per match, making him a peer of David Silva, Juan Mata and Suarez. However, Coutinho’s value-add was that over 30% were Opta’s “clear chances.” Chance quality is a critical advantage, because we know that 38% of “clear” chances are converted compared to 8% of “normal” chances. Whilst Suarez, Silva, and Mata created a clear chance between every 190 and 200 minutes, with Coutinho it’s 100. Those numbers make little Phil look a genuine phenom.

i don't know why i do this to myself. watching willian videos on youtube and looking at twitter every five minutes, when i know the chances are pretty remote of it actually happeing. this'll be like micky ryan but worse.

Have a look at a few of the Cissoko videos to bring you down to earth. He's a bulkier Djimi Traore imo

I've gone past the tipping point...

I'll now be surprised if we dont get Big Willy.

How do you feel about Suarez's return to training? Will you be cheering him on when he returns to the side??"
