Very silly question - sorry :P Is it possible to buy less than a metre of fabric (ie. 1/2 or 1/4 metre)? Just need a small amount of a particlar fabric but not a whole metre. Probably getting in Hickeys if that makes any difference?

Yes, you could always get ½, or ¼ of a yard in the old days, I'm sure you will have no problem getting ½, or ¼ of a metre, in fact you should even be able to get an an eighth of a mtr.

Yes, no problem. They just measure it off the roll. You could also look at the remnants basket aswell for bit like that/end of line etc. Quarters on ebay (used for quilting is 18" x 22" inches
