I bought an Argos Value Range I2000 Telephone and I am trying to set it up with my UPC modem. The end of the cable that comes with the phone doesn't fit the modem, it's a skinner longer rectangular connection, were as the modem expects the standard phone jack.

Do I need some kind of converter or if i get my hands on a standard phone cable will that work ??

RJ11 Plug to BT Socket Adaptor, you should be able to pick one up locally.

That's the problem buying phones from Argos, they come with a BT plug.

You probably got this sorted, but argos offer these adaptors free with phones, sometimes you might have to ask as they don't pop up on till.

If you go in with your receipt they should give you one.
