Research your family history. Years ahead of discovery mixed with a little frustration. But persevere and it's very rewarding.

    Also canoeing. :)

That's not a hobby, it is a full time job.

And you didn't read the whole thread before determining masturbation was definitely not mentioned?

It has, actually... I'd cut down a little if I were you, it may already be affecting your eyesight ;)

Hiking and fishing for the win.

I read that as "hiking and fisting" first. Thought it was an odd combination

    I'd say masturbating.

Sad thing is I'm not even lying. College actually can't come soon enough!

    You're doing it wrong!

Come on, you can pretend you missed this whole conversation, but deep down, you knew you were on to a good one. Just a pity you let 4 wpm stand in the way of comedic genius.

Cycling and gardening. Gardening is so therapeutic.
    Same :)

I love growing my own organic fruit and veg. Nothing more pleasing than growing something from seed to taking it from your garden within the hour of eating it. Shop bought fruit and veg has never been the same to me since I've begun.

Being in the garden always clears my head, so yes very therapeutic :)

I don't get it...you're like a troll that has somehow gone undetected for years, and amassed several thousand posts.

    How do you do it?

Hope the OP isn't counting posts to help decide on his new hobby!

He'll be a busy boy, with forearms like Popeye...

    Climbing - a little bit

Gardening - to an extent, though gardens are like kids; i can't be bothered dealing with someones elses while renting.

I like to lift heavy things. Then a few days later I see if I can lift heavier things. It's quite competitive, albeit only against myself.

I totally forgot baking as well. I love it! The hot weather hasn't been conducive to baking however. Not that I'm complaining, better for the waistband!

Mr.Prodston, fantasy football is a family business. Maybe single people play fantasy football, we don't know.

Frankly, we don't want to know.

arguing with strangers on the internet..

don't know if I would class what I do in my spare time as hobbies, a lot of it has become daily routines at this stage and sometimes I have to force myself to do it so it's not always because I want to do it but I love that it's part of my life, I think of them like obsessions. Then I tend to obsess about different things for several months or years at a time and then move on to something else. I started swimming when I was four and can go years without getting into a pool, then I'll come back to it and obsess for a year until something else distracts me, jogging (yep done that too) weightlifting (my dad was a trainer) football, Pilates, yoga..dunno, all of the above I guess. (I went crazy for gardening when I moved into my house for the first few years, spent a fortune building a humongous garden then gave it to the dog. I love DIY a lot too but am usually spurred into it when I have lot of cash to play with)

So that's it after 20 years so long good luck?

    Can I borrow a feeling? :(
