The unhappiness with progress hasn't resulted in 'slagging'. The labels like embarrassing have caused a reaction.

I would never have expected Moyes to make up his mind about transfer targets in May when he was planning for Everton up to that point. That might explain a delay in starting transfer negotiations.

on this day, 1996......United signed this gem of a player, who would go on to become one of the most important strikers in the clubs history..

126 goals, 10 major honors, endless memories from also one of my favorite players ever at the club.

    enjoy!

i normally dont condone violence, but if i saw these lads parading this around Salford, i can safely safely say there would be a few digs thrown.

    what a bunch of tossers.

yep allegedly so, hopefully we are all in for a positive surprise, but its unlikely surely?

thing is, strange to call a press conference for a player, isnt it?

No one knows for sure, but it's his first day back with the squad so it's suspected it'll be today.

I think it is too. Hopefully something to it.

But im 99.99% sure he will say he wants to stay. If he does that does not mean he wants to.

And I'm sure there are United fans on tour doing the same thing regarding Liverpool history. Just as bad as each other.

Hate that element at both clubs.

Forget the goal at the Nou-camp, for me this is his finest moment in a UTD jersey.

well today is one game i hope we play nobody and couldnt give a damn if we lose or not...today is all about avoiding injuries.

the set up there is a farce.

100% disagree. that would be his lowest moment in a United shirt. if that happened the other way around, we would be absolutely disgusted.

well considering that about 70,000 people clapped him off the pitch, i would think many people would agree with you.

id never be one for applauding any player when he is sent off, 2 of our most recent worst defeats (the 4-1 v liverpool and 6-1 v city) have come off the back of 2 red cards and was shocked to see so many people applauding both players as they went down the tunnel.

SAF absolutely fcuked him out of it after the game. He told him that "that's not Machester United. Thats not how we do things" or something to that efect

practically every paper today is running with Moyes comments about the squad being good enough as it is.....:(

They're twisting the quote to be something that it isn't

The presser seems to be rumour but i suspect it is Barca putting it up to Fabregas to decide one way or another,as we all suspected it looks like Fabregas himself is driving the deal somewhat.
Barca hoping that he himself will end all speculation in public but there has to be a big element of doubt there as he has been pretty silent,Rooney like silence.

Getting red-carded is not the most noble thing in the world but circumstances differ. The two matches you gave an example of are very differnt imo. Evans was bad judgement and Vidics was frustration and sometimes fans applaud the player because he is part of the team and not the action. Its still showing support for the club.

Ole's red card was when the game was tied at 1-1 and is was very late in the match and in the season so a goal either way would decide it. We were losing the title race to Arsenal and it was a must win match. The draw was not enough and as much as I agree 99% of the time that you should win fair or not at all and deliberate fouls are bad sportsmanship but I also agree that desperate times call for desperate measures.

Some fans saw it as Ole putting team first and sacrafising himself and maybe even admiration for the way in which he managed to catch Rob Lee. Given what we know of the player he was not dirty so for me his red-card had more heart to it than those two examples and other dirty red-cards you see.

He knew he would walk and turned his back even before the card came out. Professionally he knew the consequences and committed a professional foul. He knew the cost another goal would have on our chances and the cost of the foul and did it anyway. I would not say its his worst moment in a UTD shirt and can understand the applause.

Molde are 3rd in the form table, they had a terrible start but have steadied the ship. Also in the quarter finals of the NM Cup I think.
