Word of warning to all. If you want reasonable mpg, do not let 166man drive your car.
This was after a 20 min spin around south dublin!

    Its fairly accurate as well.:(

If you want to experience the V6 let me drive it..;)

Seriously though stop fretting about mpg it's all about smiles per gallon! I can confirm the engine mgmt light has no effect on performance whatsoever...

Gorgeous car though, Stheno did you get my pm?

My favourite episode. Filmed up the road from my mothers house. They rebuild the roundabout in the village once a year in its memory

Came across the same 132-G Kia for the 3rd time today in a week with the same space saver on the rear.

    The mind boggles

You think that's bad? I drove to dun laoighre from rathfarnham today behind a 04 BMW 330 ci.
On the way back from dun laoighre on the n11 what am I behind?
The exact same bmw. The poor chap must have thought he was being followed

Viewing arranged, just need to find out as much as possible about them now. :D

Just bring dgt, I don't think there's even a better option. He'll even whip out the engine and check behind it :pac:

Sent a PM telling him to have his engine lift ready. Arrive with black smoke everywhere. :pac:

Nah, I have a local mate coming with me. Couldn't be getting him to drive all that way, even on "diesel" that's too expensive.

In fairness cian they are a very reliable car.

Check the roof over and check for leaks in the cabin can rust around the windscreen.
But the ad looks cared for, could you arrange to view a couple more so you can do up a pro and cons list so you know what's good and bad!!

Having a look at more is a pretty good idea but I'm tight for time. The lad that's coming with me has been around a few though so he should be fairly good at spotting a dud.

Ah well that is good then, if he's a decent idea knowing what to look out for.

Turn the steering wheel from side to side while turning the ignition.

Is the steering lock on. Is the wheel up against the kerb?

With the ignition off (well its gonna be anyway) can you turn the steering wheel even slightly in any direction?

What direction are the road wheels pointing or are they straight?

They're straight, I can move the wheel about half an inch either way, it's not an awful lot

Try putting the key in and just sort of jiggling the key as you're turning it.

Drop of oil on the key might help too.

Got one last year, ~€1800 for a 1.8. Hopefully it'll be a little less. If it's not... I'm doing it anyway!

    I love that positive attitude. :D :P

Ah do though, that's nothing for a 1.8.
