Irish Open not geo-blocked!

    Interesting that the Irish Open Golf was 'in the clear' on both the NI mini-mux (Freeview) and on RTE1 by satellite here. Sky have UK rights to this event so I guessed it might have been geo-blocked north of the border but was pleasantly surprised it wasn't unlike Premier Soccer Saturday and Champions League football on RTE.

    They probably had the rights based on the island of Ireland rather then ROI, along the lines of the rights that are in place for the GAA.
