BSOD

Hi all

I just want to know has anyone came across this before. I am using Google Chrome to browse the internet. I do occasionally check Facebook. After logging out of Facebook and closing that particular tab in Google Chrome I sometimes get the BSOD. This only every happens when closing the Facebook tab. I have never had this problem when closing out of another Website. When investigating the BSOD Error Code suggestions were that it may be a bad stick of Ram. Error Code STOP: 0x0000008E. There is more to the Error code but that is the start of it. I have not yet tested the Ram but have recently re-installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro on the Laptop. The Laptop is a Compaq Presario V6000. It is not a major problem but is annoying.

Any input would be well received

Run Memtest86+ on the RAM. If the RAM has any errors, then it's time to get rid of/replace the bad stick. It will always crash just when you don't need it and data is lost

so it's worth troubleshooting
