    Homeopathy
    Zodiac
    Auras
    Angels
    Anti-aging cremes
using the phrase 'as a parent"
Thinking your own religious views entitle you to anything
    Racism

If you believe in any of those things, you slip in my esteem, because you are hard of thinking.

Herd-like behaviour. As in 'ah sure you have to get pissed. It's paddy's day...' Lack of thinking and stunted imagination. No problem at all if they say 'because I chose to'.

In fact, any activity justified in the tiny little mind by the phrase 'ah sure you have to...'.

Someone who is rude to wait staff, sales assistants, flight attendants etc...anyone providing a service to them. Immediately I lose all respect and desire to associate with them.

Very telling of a person's character.

People who demand you respect them.

    You mean Aretha Franklin?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,068 ✭✭✭Thataone

People who are hypocrites or force their opinions upon you.

And "atheists", I don't mean people who just don't believe in God etc, I mean those people who are "ay-thee-ists" and are so anti organised religion that they shred other people beliefs because their own personal beliefs (or lack of) is obviously superior. (I know of one such person who was an ATHEIST, to the point of being aggressive to religion. He went on holidays for a week, "found himself" and now is being aggressively "Buddhist", as in either you're Buddhist or your views are so wrong he'd fight you over it  )

While we're at it we can also add people who wear ridiculous skinny jeans or glasses with no frames. In fact anyone wearing a trilby hat or any of that craic should be kicked repeatedly up the hole.

How do they wear the glasses if they have no frames?

One thing that acts as a trigger for me is people who treat the homeless like sh*t or talk about them like they're animals. As soon as I see that carry-on it's like a switch going off and that person's card is well marked. Nothing sickens me more than people seeking to score cheap points off the most vulnerable in society. Honestly like, are people that insecure that they need to abuse some poor individual on the street in order to bolster themselves? Especially considering the fact that most of homeless people suffer from crippling addiction issues and/or mental health problems?

The sh*t that people on the street have to endure is unbelievable. A friend of mine works with rough sleepers and he says not a weekend goes by when one of his clients isn't woken up to find someone p*ssing all over them with others cheering them on. He has even known some of his clients to be set on fire while they slept, or else just beaten up for no reason.

I remember clattering someone in Amsterdam when I was 17 as this fella in my group was taunting some poor f*cker on the street, saying he'd give him €5 to take off his shoes. Haven't had time for the fella since and that was nearly 10 years ago. I just can't hold my tongue when people start ranting about "bums" or being overtly rude to the misfortunates you see begging outside pubs. It really just sets something off inside that I can't fully explain.

Gratuitous boasting - i.e. if you say you bought something, they have to say they have two of them. I had this conversation with someone a couple of years ago:

Twat (In the middle of a completely unrelated conversation): So, did you buy a house?
    Me: Yes.
    Twat: I have two houses.
    Me:

    Being smelly.

People who do not indicate at roundabouts, while I am waiting to cross into the roundabout.

It has gotten to a point where I actually verbally say even while alone in the car 'No indication, no respect' and I will drive straight into the roundabout.

50% of the time they were driving straight, which is OK, fair enough.
The other 50% they were turning and the look of shock on their face.
