It's actually Vinland but L'anse aux Meadows is the most likely site for the earliest occupation

No idea who the TD is

I want to re-word the question : Which Irish T.D was the son of a Premier of Newfoundland? I'll explain in due course, and if nobody can give the answer by tomorrow I'll post a different question.

Ok. The answer is Patrick (P.J.) Little (1884-1963,) Fianna Fail T.D. for Waterford 1927-1954 and Minister for Posts and Telegraphs 1939-1948. His father, Philip Francis Little (1824-1897) was Newfoundland's first colonial premier 1855-1858. I always thought P.J. Little was born in NFL, but according to Wiki he was born in Dublin.
