Has anybody bought something off Apple.ie and returned it?

Currently have two 13" Macbooks, one pro and one air, and I'm really comfortable with the form factor, but I'm pondering whether to upgrade to a new 15" rMBP but the price is a bit steep for what you're getting. I want to try one out in day-to-use (using a display unit is useless IMO) and bring it around with me for a week or two, to see how the bigger size is for me.

If I buy one, is it easy to return or is it a hassle to try and get them to allow you to return it?

To be honest, I'm not even sure Ireland is covered with Apple's 14 day return policy. Couldn't find anything of substance on their site that would suggest otherwise though.

apple ireland is covered for the 14 day return for non customised/etched items. If you choose to return they will send a courier out to collect it from you. You won't have to convince them to get them to collect /return it as you can return via their website http://store.apple.com/ie/help/returns_refund

Might go for it, so! Thanks for that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there likely to be a refresh at WWDC? Or do you think they'll hold that off until September timeframe?

MIGHT be a refreshed MacBook air, but that's it at the mat I'd say. Even if a new rMPB was announced its be ages before you got your hands on one.

As someone who's had the fortune to play with them, go for the 15" over the "13. The difference in speed and power is vast. 13" is just not worth the money yet. Yet.

Haswell powered MBP is almost certain for WWDC.

I returned a macbook pro with the glossy screen and went for the same machine just with the matte screen. No problem to return.
Distance Selling Laws are in place so the have to take it back either way if you want to return it.
