For all you people who are worried about Irish, unless you want to do Irish in college or move to the Gaeltacht it's unlikely you will be ever using Irish after the Leaving :)
Yes, but it's a requirement for a lot of colleges XD.

Ugh I didn't like that the second paper at all :( Did anyone understand the unseen poetry? All I gathered was that one was about a spider and the other one someone was looking for something? Haha. For the studied story, the theme was weird, does a duine gramhar mean a loving person?

Just so long as you pass D3 in ordinary level all the way :P

Your poetry assumption was correct stupid spider make your own way out of the bleedin' sink.
And yes it does mean a loving person :)

God yeah that prós was boring, just looked at the questions back at the prós and filled in the answer.
Now does anybody want a greasy sugar cookie and a soda?

An Modh Coinníollach would come up they said. There's a pattern they said. Don't rely on patterns I said. How did that go for people?

Feeling okay about Irish today :)

Listening I thought was tough. I could not get what his dad's job was! In the end I threw down Runaí Scoile even though that was his Mam's job but I said it was better than nothing. The other's weren't too bad!

Loved the comprehensions. I thought they were lovely and relatively relaxed. I want one of those monkey's as a pet. If the people in Ogne or wherever get them as a pet, I want one xD

Grammar <3 Aimsir Caite. #Win. I loved life when I seen that. Smiled ear from ear when I seen it. :D Then I flipped the page and almost cried. I did it though and except for part 6 I thought it was okay! Tough but do-able like. What were we even supposed to do for part 6? I didn't get it at all! :P

Essay titles were great. I did B (ii). Nice and simple. No complicated links required and I just wrote about my car crash on the way home from the part time job I got in order to save for an iPhone! :D

    Paper Two was great imo.

Loved the reading comprehension. I did the question on Part B of 'Is mise Sabine' and got the points from the first paragrah, thought that was simple. The part A questions were a little tougher!

I did the duine cliste for an tAdh in the studied fiction. It kind of threw me at first because I was used to mothúcháin and téamí but sure, I get through it grand! :)

The unseen poetry was tough imo, but I got three questions done so it didn't bother me. The studied poetry was grand. Same as most years! :D

I didn't mind the letter question. I just did the Youtube one and wrote about a cat video. Thought it was nice and easy :D

Not sure if I got the A because the listening let me down but I'm still positive about it :D How did everyone else do? :)

Can someone please tell me how many marks I will lose for this.

For the letter i did letter C the sports one.
I accidentally wrote a friendly letter to my friend instead of a paper editor.

    Will I get any marks?

I didn't even notice it was a letter to the editor in there! :O

You probably won't get any Layout marks but you'll get marked on the body of your letter as if you did it to an editor.

You will get marks but probably a good few will be taken off you because did an informal letter when it should have been formal

Most schools don't do Orals for JC languages.

Nope, it's optional to each school and our school doesn't do it. You did?

my friend had a disaster because she didn't know part time job was in the essay question and only wrote about an incident in a shop :o

do you think she'll get any marks??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 712 ✭✭✭MmmPancakes

Omfg wat. Paper 1 - Fine, this is going to be fine.
    Paper 2 - Wat.

I done well in the Prós but wow lol the poetry was so hard. I answered on áilleacht an dúlra, thinking it was distruction of nature, turns out it was beauty. LOL. I guess I'll get some marks because I gave relevant examples and linked them to the theme but a lot of my essay was about destroying the environment and stuff.

The letter titles were also so bad, I did the band one but struggled to think of a name and two pieces of info about it.

    Hoping for a B overall, I don't think I lost 72 marks overall! plsplspls

At least all the hard exams are over for me, let's have yi' maths!

Yes, once you mention that you had a part time job in a shop, then sure you'll get marks IMO. As Spurious says, it's about giving you marks, not keeping them from you :D

She lose some marks but won't not get any. There's probably a set number of marks for relating to the title. She mightn't get any of them but she'll still get the rest of the marks based on the quality of the essay :)
