I did try and drive it with it like that one day, just headed down the lane with it,

Got about 5 yards and thought I was going to die, it starts solid, and then starts hopping like mad, not a fun experience, was convinced the top mounts were going to go straight through the chassis

There's a part of the windscreen just above the rearview mirror where the sun can shine directly into my eyes.... The sunshades, they do nothing! Which is where a practical use for a strip comes in (and not for looks..... Ok for looks too :pac:)

Well at least I'm somewhat useful so! :D

New external temperature sensor ordered for the focus no harm I'm sick of looking at 30-40 degree c on the display. Wheel nut replacements on the way too can't wait to see the back off them lock nuts. Previous owner made sh!t of all of them he must of put them on with an air gun. Anyway I think I'm safe enough in assuming no one is going to rob ford 16inch alloys. Seems to be all coming together now :)

McGard ones are really easy to round, i got rid of mine and got some supercheap locking nuts which are indestructable and still do the trick for any opportunist thieves

I think your wheel would be a bit more attractive to a thief than mine :pac: I know the mechanic struggled to get them off. So he just left them all barly tight so I can get them off to replace them. He said if I had got a flat there would not have been a hope of me being able to get them off. So I don't need that hassle.

Tbh When yer one said, " hi Im calling from mastercard" I presumed it was someone running a scam:o

I thought the aswell cos it was Pakistani fran calling from visa and I thought yeah right ! Then I checked my account online and sure enough she was right and we went from there. She confused though cos I cant see some of the transactions shes talked about but can see others or maybe my account is just everywhere right now til it all clears up I guess

PPPPSSSSSTTT Mine will be on the market in a few weeks

Charming, but they're not without their frenchness,

Hard not to love the old Pug/Citroen rev counter dance :pac:

I have nothing but disdain for the lack of cupholders though,

    What awkwardness do you reckon?

My car is going to my mechanic tomorrow evening for lung surgery along with a few other little things. Wish her luck! :D

Ah, the rev dance :D Mine gets a heart attack instead :pac:

I have lack of cupholders too alas I'll be sourcing a centre console from a D( from the yard that will sort that! :D

Niggly stuff like taking off the backbox, that was rather fiddly... If you want to test the dexterity in your fingers try changing a turbo in one..... ;)

You would be suprised man my aunt has Facelift ST genuine alloys on her 1.6 focus saloon 07 and they look nicer than mine as standard more angular etc :p

:D One of the lads has a D8 and the rev counter has a mind of its own, until you sink the boot and it tells you (within a few hundred rpm) what it's at :pac: well over 220k on it too, still runs pretty sweet.

Luckily enough, most of whats on xanti currently doesn't need to be taken off it :pac:

When I lift off, revs go straight to zero :pac: it's the sensor, it worked properly with the other engine :)

Pump is knackered so sometimes gets stuck fully advanced at tickover, quite a noticeable lope from it

My old 406 was a right ball of sh*te. To give you an example.....

I've had this twice on credit cards; the first was a closed card and after 27 petrol purchases on the sae day at the same garage the bank's highly tuned computer worked out it may not be me! (Before I had a car, these days €300 on petrol in 24 hours is too frequent an occurrence). The second time it was expensive airline tickets.

On both occasions the disputed transactions were removed immediately (joked about whether I should disown some of my real purchases) ad it did't cause me hassle for more than a day; all the bank's problem after that.

    That actually looks quite cool.

Ladas were great for their simplicity.

    Anybody could fix a Lada.

It'd generally break not far down the road but you could still usually fix it yoursefl again.

I love ladas.. perhaps that was lost in my post, very nearly bought a Niva a few months ago, but it was gone before I got to it.

They're (Nivas) very good off road and, the more you remove from them the less there is to go wrong

Fiat twincam engines slot right in also...

Just back from getting a four wheel alignment done. Drivers side was out a fair bit. Will take her for a test drive later, as I've to do an oil change first on my dads yolk :/.

Can someone confirm something for me on a Ford Ka...

    6891263_f1024.jpg

Reservoir on the drivers side behind the power steering fluid is Coolant, right?

Also does anyone know what kind of ratio/coolant I should be using to top it up, I imagine it will need a complete replacement after the NCT, it's not a healthy colour to begin with.

It's usually 50/50 mix water and coolant for all cars.
