Safari taking ages to boot up on MacBook Air

    So while my wireless internet isn't the quickest in the world, my iphone 4 has no problem connecting to safari, while the MacBook air takes about 2 - 3 mins to open the google homepage once I'v clicked the icon. After that it works fine.

    Any reason for this and any way to fix it?

    Have tried clearing the cache and browsing history? Have you any extensions installed that might be causing problems?

    Does this happen with other browsers? Chrome, etc?
