Building gaming computer 800-900ish euro

1. What is your budget? [800 preferably but will be willing to do up to 1000]

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming] (If gaming include which games: WoW, Skyrim, Company of Heroes, Battlefield, The Witcher]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No, I have no parts]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [Preferably a 20-22inch]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] I need a keyboard, wireless card,default speakers]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [perhaps]

8. How can you pay? [preferably PayPal/Laser]

9. When are you purchasing? [In the next 2 months]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Won't be needed]

Something like this would do nicely. Come back closer to ordering as it will change quite a bit by then. New intel processors and Nvidia graphics cards are on the way.

The processor is not overclockable. You would be looking at an extra €90 for the overclockable parts and a cooler to make use of it. This would allow you to get close to 4.5ghz though. 50% higher than the stock speed of the processor I have here.

That's a DVD ROM drive. Yeah, I'd wait to see what's on the market in 2 months if you're not buying until then. Otherwise, I'd check out an AMD system if you need to shave off some money. Their new price cuts make them very competitive, and a CPU like the FX6300 is very good value.

They're handy for giving someone a disposable data medium when you don't want to use USB drives and when internet is not an appropriate solution.

Anyway, it's only €4 more.

I don't have any drive in my machine. I only put it in so people can install windows from the dvd.

Usb flash drives are so cheap it's practically a disposable data medium.
