IPS Course

I'm thinking about completing the IPS BA Law and the Administration of Justice course. However I don't want to join the gardai/ prison Service. I spoke to IPS on the phone and asked what other areas I could go into if completed this course. I didn't get much of a response as she didn't seem to understand what I was asking. It was a simple question. Has anyone completed this course and can anyone elaborate on the career opportunities/directions.
