Title: NOVA - Battle of the X-planes



Here's show people interested in flying and planes will enjoy, posted in the
TV recommendations forum last week:

Cast: Narrated by Liev Schreiber.

Description: This is a documentary following the US goverment
project to select and build the latest-generation fighter jet known as
the Joint Strike Fighter also known as the F-35.

With constant pressure on defence budgets and advances in drone technology,
the F-35 could be the last large-scale manned jet platform America will produce.

Nova goes behind the scenes at top-secret government sites and
at the two companies selected to build the final prototypes of the
plane. At the end of the competition, one winner will be chosen, and
be awarded the largest military hardware contract in history.

I'm not a regular visitor to this forum; but I really thought this excellent recording from the cockpit would be well shared here.

More than likely many of you aviation anoraks have seen this before but I found it so interesting and gives such a great insight to the operations on the flight deck that it was worth a posting all the same for the enthusiast who may not have seen it. Enjoy!
