Is there any quick way to replace MP3s keeping ID3 tags the same?

I have a load of CDs which I originally ripped nearly a decade ago at 128kb/s, which I really want to replace at a higher bit rate.

The thing is, I've spent ages fixing the ID3 tags on them, and I don't really want to have to go through them again. I know there's programs which automatically tag the tracks, but they're never that accurate. They put the wrong years, don't add the composer, leave out guest artists etc.

So really I'm looking for a quick way of replacing the MP3s at a higher bit rate while keeping my original ID3 tags the same. Is there any way of doing this?

mp3tag. Throw all your files in the same folder. Once you have them opened up in mp3tag, use the right click function copy tag/paste tag. You can do this by the batch.

btw. Can someone with a job send these guys a donation for me? :)

Great software - already donated and got a nice thank you email back.
