The missus wildcarded before last weekend. Here's her team.

She's leading thescore.ie league. Anyone know if you get anything for winning it?

    She's at 1784 with 2101 points.

Am considering a major differential this week by not taking a points hit.

I'm doing the same. My transfer was boring too. Hill out for Dawson.

Don't expect much from Dawson because Spurs are muck at the back but couldn't afford anything decent.

Hey lads, I'm fairly stuck with my team at the moment. I'm second in my own league 66 points be behind the leader... at the moment we both have RVP, Mata and Clyne. He has transfered Suarez to Tevez this week [I think] and I was thinking of getting rid of RVP [I know major risk] and just going for it building up the quality of the overall team with RVP money and taking a few points hits... at this stage with only 3 GW left I was thinking I maze well just go for it....

... Any thoughts would be appreciated as i'm fairly stuck :pac:

Damn, sold him for Lukaku last night

It's "squad" rather than starting, but who knows?

    Edit: from their website --
There were concerns following last week’s defeat at Goodison Park that Dimitar Berbatov may be forced out of action after being withdrawn with a supposed calf injury, but Jol confirmed our top scorer will be involved against Reading, as will another of Fulham’s star performers this season.

I've been mulling over certain transfers all week and am thinking about just saving the transfer for next week? Opinions?
    Robles
    Nastasic - Baines - Vertonghen
    Mata - Maloney - Yaya - Michu - Bale
    Tevez - Lukaku
    Subs: DDG, Mirallas, Sagna, Turner

That's 10 DGW players and Baines. By saving the transfers and having 2 for next gameweek, I could really make a great impact next week too.

Anyone see a transfer that would make the above team better?

Are you definitely going with baines over sagna? i have a similar team and i'm thinking of playing sagna against a relegated qpr. I can't see everton keeping a clean sheet against Liverpool

My choice was sell lambert or berbatov and i sold berbs. wish I waited till today. A half fit Berbatov against Reading would be a better option than lambert against spurs chasing CL

The midfield is ideal for this week, West Ham at home to Newcastle isn't the worst fixture for a clean sheet, Newcastle are muck just now. Guzan in goal could easily keep a clean sheet too. You could gamble on bringing in Kone and Aguero for RVP and Rodriguez. Dawson is the cheap way into Spurs defence. It really depends on how many hits you want to take.

Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh I'm so annoyed at myself. I kept him for last few weeks for this game. Then panicked earlier in week as he was going down and lukaku kept going up. Would have been a good differential .

I suppose the odds are completely stacked against me anyway so I maze well go for it... Yeah I was thinking Aguero but the leader has Kone so he's out of the question...

just did my transfers so i don't spend half the night like i did last friday on them,

    evra to Luiz

and decideded to take the 4 point hit for

Fellaini to maloney, bit of a risk because if Gibson does play and fellaini plays off the striker he could be dangerous again but looking at it, maloney has 4 fixtures compared to Fellaini's 3, 3 of maloney's are decent looking whereas Fellaini has 1 great fixture at home to west ham and 2 really tough ones away to liverpool and away to chelsea. I imagine a lot of people wil have maloney so if he scores big and i don't have him i'd be pretty much out of contention for the leagues i'm trying to make up ground in, but not many people still have fellaini so if he scores big now that i've sold him the damage won't be as bad.

with an easy captain decision i can now log out of FPL until 12:00 tomorrow when i scout through who other's in my league selected.
    Team

    Hart

    Zab, Luiz,
    Sagna

Mata, Michu, Walcott, Maloney, Bale (c)

    RVP, Tevez

As usual I'm changing my mind all week long, I waited on news of Berba and it seems good so I'll keep him for his home game against Reading. Sturridge has great fixtures in gw37 and 38 so I will keep him also but bench him against Everton. It was my intention to bring in Kone but now I'll just curse his goals and hope for the best, think I'll bring in Maloney in midfield instead(Wigan have great fixtures, couldn't ignore them totally). I planned to get Kompany or Zabaleta but I can't bring myself to do it as I don't think either will play both games, I'm gonna take a chance and bring in Verthongen(already have Dawson) and gamble on a Spurs clean sheet aginst Southampton and hopefully some attacking returns. That leaves me with 10 dgw's(including Davies who doesn't really count) and Berba, with Sagna, Enrique and Sturridge on the bench.
It'll probably change but that's current thinking.

as you already have dawson have you considered Luiz instead of vertonghen? he's playing in midfield and has scored a couple lately from open play aswell as taking some free kicks.

    Baines or Zabaleta?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,208 ✭✭✭MikeCork2009

Have a free transfer and I am thinking of transferring RvP out (I can bring him in again next week if I want and am not captaining him this week anyway) and bringing in either Aguero or Benteke.

What to do? Benteke is on fire and Villa are fighting for their lives. Aguero has a double but will he play both!!

    I currently have a front 3 of Defoe..RvP..Tevez.

F*ck it, 8 point hit taken. Coming to the end of the season and I'm sort of stuck in no-mans-land.

    RVP, Fellaini, Harte out.

    Aguero, Maloney, Luiz in.

If you have Tevez I'd go for Kone, no point in doubling up on City attackers and I just feel in my bones he'll do well these last 3 weeks.

Who does Kone play in last 3 weeks?

West Brom away, Swansea home, Arsenal away (I'm going to the game so he'll be kind to me :pac: ) and finally at home to Villa. Of course this would be reliant on Wigan keeping the fight alive, which in turn is reliant on Kone.

Basically in this vicious circle Kone will triumph, in the eyes of Mr.Prodston.
Their fixtures this week are ideal for any striker to get a few goals.

Is Hugo Lloris worth bringing in for the rest of the season to replace De Gea for an 8 point hit? Or a DGW defender to replace Rafael? This also being an 8 point hit?

Contemplating Glen Johnson to Vertonghan for -4. Would play Vert ahead of Russell Martin.

    All comments welcome!

    Bunn (De Gea)

    Enrique Dawson Sagna (Wilson Harte)
    Bale Michu Walcott Nasri Mata
    Lukaku Tevez (Lambert)

Worth taking a hit for anyone? ie: DDG to Hart or Enrique/Sagna to Kompany or Luiz/Ivanovic

If not changing DDG is Bunn a better option?

I'd nearly go Benteke, despite his form Norwich at home are very solid and Walcott will play the relegated QPR. I'd like to play all of them though!

No! From the Spurs defence I'd say Vertonghen is the only one worth a hit (I presume you mean a 4 point hit by the way?!) as he is the with the best chance of scoring. Spurs don't keep many cleanies, so you're unlikely to make up the points hit that way.

    Benteke IMO.

No, I wouldn't touch Lloris. He's a good 'keeper but Spurs are brutal at the back.

I know Benteke is the most sensible option but i love that guy. My other mids and forwards are Bale, Mata, Michu, Aguero and Defoe, they all have to play imo

Which 3 should I play from Walker, Zabaleta, Johnson, Stam & Baines. At the minute I've

    Begovic

    Walker-Zabaleta-Baines

    Hazard-Bale-Maloney-Yaya

    Aguero-Lukaku-Kone

    Any advice welcomed.
