Their crime ? Calling us Rangers :D

Just had a look at the page myself, it's quite funny as since half time the tweeter has failed to mention just what team the "young celts are trailing" to.

Sometimes i despair at just how petty Scottish football can be.

86 A pause in proceedings as a Rangers player requires treatment.

don't assume everyone is that petty

The guy i mentioned earlier is saying it's absolutely ridiculous, from both sides, up there.
Got to say i find it a little depressing.

All I saw was one tweet saying Rangers fans were trying to get at the Celtic fans, but that was quickly debunked.

So far it's only a certain part of the ground that has broken seats in it, nothing bad from the Rangers fans.

From what I am reading there was also racist chanting at Junior Ogen.
I really despair of the morons on both sides

Seems like a nice bit of pyro from both sets of fans. Shame about the neds but I suppose this is the perfect game for them.

Yeah, try and turn it around in a personal attack on me, it's what you do best it seems.
Me and the other Rangers fans on here have already mentioned time and time again that the song has no place in any football ground, so I don't know why you decided to bring it up again.

For what it's worth: I don't believe for a second you're actually offended, but if you want to pretend you are then go ahead.
And if you really are offended then I refer to the Stephen Fry quote.

And don't even think about turning Jock Stein into some martyr who is abused by all Bears, I still haven't forgotten the vile accusations aimed by one of your fellow fans on here towards Bill Struth and William Wilton.

edit: And it's of course always good to see the old claim of 'Ah, but what the Celtic fans sing is just banter' pop up again, seems like that's the easy way out isn't it ?
Is that the 2 went out, one came back stuff? What is the actual deal with that anyway??

Nonsense it was me that answered him and I made it clear by my answer I wasn't getting into it. Once again we had one of you bring it up on our thread do so could start your rubbish.

As for the comment that Brazil said Stein wasn't involved that's one hell of a jump from knowing. Just check the court records.
I have also said it was different times then and no good could come from digging deeper. But as I said at the start instead of ignoring these idiots in BF1 he had to have a go

You say you're not getting into it but then you go on to comment on it anyway. You say you disagree with the crowd singing BJK chants, but then you say check the court records..

The first Jock Stein heard about the paedophile Torbett he literally kicked him out the door. He was abhorred and disgusted as most decent people would be by what he heard. How the hell would he know how to handle such a situation, he wasn't trained to deal with such depraved carry on, he was disgusted by it. He didn't know anything about it, 'til it came to light and then he kicked him out the door and that was before any investigations were heard on the case. He had passed on by the time Torbett faced charges. The BJK carry on from sections of rival supporters is a disgusting and entirely disingenuous slur on Jock Stein's good name, and you are being disingenuous about it yourself. There has been alleged abuse scandals involved with Rangers FC I believe as well, it is not something to be used in banter or point scoring between rival fans in my view.

Really I am not getting into this again I have made my feelings clear on the song.

That's true, but why are you saying go check the court records as if there is something hanging over the good name of Jock Stein. Let me ask you a straight question; in your view is there a shadow hanging over the good name of Jock Stein due to the abuse scandal at Celtic Boys Club in the 1970's?

The funny thing is, the video was brought up to ask about the singing of another song and what it meant but ye all jumped on the BJK part.

No because revelations didn't come out until long after then. Lets be frank here even though I am a Bear I was 14 when Celtic started the nine in a row and won the EC he was a hero to me in many ways. There is nothing hanging over him because it was a totally different time and things were dealt with differently.

While I am on have you anything to say about the Tic fans singing about the Ibrox disaster last nigh

Fair enough, we'll leave it that then.

You mean some neds who call themselves Celtic fans? It's totally out of order, and they are not wanted by Celtic FC and all decent Celtic fans.

Thank you because I feel the same as the vast majority of Rangers fans we don't want the group that attach themselves to our club

Sorry, not having this. Those idiots were Celtic fans, just like when Rangers fans sing about the Famine or BJK they are Rangers fans.

Too much of this hand washing going on in football, whenever fans do anything that embarrasses the club people pretend they're not actual fans - like the Newcastle or Millwall fans rioting the other week. We don't have to make excuses for a handful of morons at a Youth game when Ibrox disaster songs are nowhere to be heard in Parkhead any week of the year.

Celtic fans who are neds so, whatever way you want to put it. There's no hand washing involved. Those involved at the youth game last night should be identified and banned if possible.

Before id call for people to banned id want to know where this info has come from, Ive spoke to people who were there last night and heard no Ibrox disaster songs. I'll believe them before the word of a Rangers fan on here with previous for saying the Green Brigade carried knives to a FAC demo.

Well it was two Celtic fans that told me so you can disbelieve them as well.
Oh and they didn't have an IRAoke either seeing as you refuse to believe anything bad about your fans

    I will.

Your casuals were out in force causing trouble and battering anything with the color green, you threw a flare at a school boy goal keeper and invaded the pitch, chanted sick songs about child abuse and the billy boys. I think your using the fictional chant as a deflection for your own fans behavior.

Its easy to jump on a moral high ground isn't it?

IRAoke? strange term for an Irish person to use for songs about the history of Ireland? Are the sash and Derrys walls acceptable songs about battles in the history of Ireland? Nothing wrong with Irish folk songs.

Weren't you the one calling a large part of the Rangers fans fascists ?
Feel free to put up proof about casuals fighting though, or the songs.

2 kids on the pitch and some flares, yes that is absolutely horrible behaviour :pac:
