    Lemlin and RoryC

I like both of you guys and respect ye as players but the bickering ends today. RoryC, you called Lemlin a bog warrior this morning. Not on. As a mod for this category, I'm drawing a line under it now.

If you want to argue, use the PM function.

Othrwise, I'll be forced to take action.

Well done FG it's about time this forum had a mod who actively post in it .

I've ignored most of his post's so consider it done. Hopefully he does everyone a favour and retires at the end of the season.

@Dempsey - I've done the same move at a 4 point hit. Lambert has really gone off the boil lately.

I think I'm going to wait until the end of the week to make a transfer. I have pretty much all the players I want for the DGW except Aguero and maybe a Chelsea defender.

That's right beyotches. Possibly 11 DGW plyers!

What's your plan for the remaining two GWs?

    Hart%20and%20Milner%20Temple%20Bar.jpg

What sort of commitment to my team is this Joe Hart? The joys and lure of Temple Bar may be intriguing but not while you have a DGW coming up. Consider yourself warned, especially after your mistake at the weekend that cost us 4 points!

Plenty of time for sauce once you get to the end of the season with 4 clean sheets and no mistakes. In fact if you do keep a clean sheet until the end then hell I'll even join you, until then you're Mr.Prodston's b!tch. :pac:

What forward planning. Did you ever consider running for Taoiseach?:D

    Right.

The plan was initially to get RVP and Walcott back in for GW37 but Sturridge has peaked my interest.

You might be asking why I sold RVP and Walcott if I wanted them back in straight away.

    1) Too many people had Tevez and Mata in a GW where they could have ran wild.
    2) I felt (and I still feel) RVP would be rested vs Chelsea and that Rooney and Hernandez would start.
    3) I felt RVP would get nothing from open play vs Arsenal and may get a booking with the fans booing him and the Arsenal players getting a few kicks in.
    4) I felt Walcott would not play up front (as many predicted) and instead play wide with Podolski up front. Out wide, I felt United had a better chance to contain him.

It was just one of those games on Sunday. Walcott caught United napping early and RVP got a penalty. What can you do! It was one of the times a hit didn't work but my hits have worked about 75% of the time so can't get them all right.

    haha thanks, I had a Wildcard in GW33 where I brought in 9 x DGW33 players and 4 x DGW36 players.

I've been taking hits since then to bring in DGW36 players who had a favourable fixture in the DGW I brought them in. Worked brilliantly for Michu, Bale and Lukaku in GW34, less so this week for Mata, Vertonghen and Tevez.

What matters is that I have put myself in with a chance to score highly this week against my rivals in my cash leagues.

Would you take a 4 point hit to go from Lambert to Lukaku? Have spare change to get in Benteke aswell but has that ship sailed?

Yes, I've some ground to make up on a rival

My plan, as I said yesterday, is a 4 point hit for Lambert to Lukaku and RVP to Aguero.

Won't do it until Friday night though as I stopped worrying about team value weeks ago.

I'm sticking to attacking DGW players. That's where the points will be made IMO.

Impressive. And I am accepting your advice and making the changes you suggest but you think Mata playing Man Utd and spurs is a better option than Walcott playing QPR?

9  if he had of held that shot at the end and not spilled it into the back of the net it'd have been his 3rd save and a bp.

If you feel that Walcott is a better option than Mata PLEASE go with your gut instinct. I think Walcott will do well even though he has just one game.

    I'm aiming for a front 7 of:

    Michu - Mata - Bale - Walcott - XXXXX

    Aguero - Tevez

    Question:
Who would you get as the last midfielder?
    I can afford anyone.

Have done Fellaini to Mata and am planning to bring in Hart as well for -4.

After a good week last week, I've got myself back into a fighting position in my big money league. 15 point behind the leader but only 10 clear of third. The leader currently has 4 DGW players and has made two transfers (presumably bringing his DGW contingent to 6)

Following my transfers I'll also have 6. But additions to the front seven are tempting (Michu/Aguero/Ba)
    Current front seven are:

    Bale (x2) - Mata (x2) - Maloney (x2) - Cazorla
    RVP - Benteke - Kone (x2)

I like Cazorla's and Benteke's fixtures this weekend. I think bringing in Michu for Cazorla could be counter productive with the extra -4 hit but RVP to Ageuro is an option.

    Any opinions?

I dont understand why is everyone transferring Tevez rather than Aguero? According to my knowledge Kun is still the main man for City or am I missing something essential?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,305 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Prodston

    As things stand I have:
    Hart (Bunn)
    Enrique/Dawson/Baines (Mickey Turner/Wilson)
    Bale/Mata/Maloney/Sessegnon (Townsend)
    Lambert/Mirallas/RVP

With .6 in the bank. I don't have a problem taking hits...but I'm looking at 4 transfers which would be -12. Obviously Sess will be gone and was also thinking of a complete revamp of the forward 3.

My thoughts are Walcott in for Sess. I'm juggling between Lukaku/Benteke/Defoe/Kone/Aguero as my strikers. In hindsight Benteke and Lukaku should have been there about 3 weeks ago but I don't have the luxury of that so should I keep away at this stage or jump on the Bandwagon even if the wheels show signs of falling off?

Aguero cost almost 2m more than Tevez, one of the reasons i believe.

Kun has only played 90 mins once in the last 7 games, and that was the last game. A lot of people, me included got Tevez in for Suarez once he got banned. I think I'll have both for the DGW.

I have the same midfield and tevez as well, think its a strong midfield so took a punt on nasri, might be a bit of overkill for you (as would yaya) u have 2 city allready. Maloney has a DGW and might nick a goal, or Dempsey could be worth a punt

Most got him in before last week when Kun's fitness was still a concern and Tevez had looked to have nailed down his place with some good form and ff returns, there is also the price difference I suppose, one bad weekend for Tevez has seen the focus go onto Aguero but either one of them could have a good week, Aguero tends to be a focal point but when Tevez is on form he's involved in a lot of dangerous attacking moves, I have Tevez but I'm currently debating changing to Kun for this dgw, tough to know who will play when considering the cup final, I've a feeling Aguero will be held back for the second game but maybe Mancini wants him to get game time. Tough decision.

Surely Aguero is more at risk of being rested in one game for the cup final? He has played <45 mins on 9 occasions this season, and missed 7 games. Tevez on the same measurements is 5 and 4. Seems more reliable.

Dzeko could be a good gamble if you have <£7m

dont get in Ba he has 2 league goals since he signed for Chelsea and what it probably shows is that chelseas style of play requires the front man to make a lot of sacrifices for the 3 attacking midfielders that play in behind.Id fancy aguero to outscore rvp between now and the end of the season.

Anyone looking at Morrison as an alternative for the DGW?

Thinking of bringing in one of Maloney or Morrison. Leaning more towards Morrison at the moment due to a lack of WBA coverage in my team.

hazard if he doesnt start on thursday, stick to the original plan:)

Yeah there's so many options I'm not sure what to go for!

I will have Tevez and Aguero, so a third City attacker would be overkill. Actually, what am I thinking, I have Clichy in defence, so once I get Aguero that's it for City players.

Dempsey is a good shout actually. Maloney is a probably a good budget option, but I can afford any mid, so looking for more of a heavy hitter.

Hazard is the other option I suppose, but United away and Spurs at home aren't exactly the easiest games.

Im almost certain to go with both tevez and aguero. With city only having 3 strikers I should get a minimum of 270 mins between the two of them.
