a fuel station would go through a delivery about once a week or more often unless its a remote station. ALL fuel comes from the same sources, refined in the same refineries, delivered in the same truck. Some brands add additives, but aside from that they are all the same.

Cars can build up deposits over time. A diesel car in particular needs frequent long journeys to clear the engne and filters - its usually written in the handbook about this.

Also, a normal station will have about 20,000 - 30,000 litres in a tank. Average fill is about 25 litres, so if fuel was contaminated over 1000 cars would be affected in a very small area. It happened once in the UK and made BBC news.

Basically before running to conclusions find out all the reasons why things can go wrong in your fuel tank instead of running to blame one single fuel station just because it was the last place you filled up.
