Laptop I know what I want Help Please

Hi guys,

I want a Laptop with windows 7 at least 750GB preferably greater than 15" screen and at least 4gb of ram all fow less than €750. I have searched Elara, Dell, Argos and Harvey Norman and not to happy with th choices so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of options from HP, but with a 500gb HD. If you look for a 750gb, the choices are limited.

in America I paid 300 dollars take away 30 percent to do euro price,by the way windows 8 is crap

We got my mother Nd father a windows 8 for Christmas and am so annoyed with it, it never does what you want it to do.

I have been researching the HP Pavillion G6 and customer reviews say its not great.

Had a look at Pc specialist I'm not aware of any of the brands. My first laptop 12 yrs ago was a Dell and it worked brilliantly for me, then I moved towards Sony for 5 years and its still going well but could be better. I am really considering another Sony but could be swayed by customer reviews and recommendations.

Thanks for this it looks great, I have never heard of MSI. How good of a brand is this. I really want to be sure before commiting my hard earned money.

pcworld have many decent laptops on sale at the mo.

on saturday i will be buying a new 17inch tosibha with 6gb (upgradable to 8gb) ram and dedicated ati gcard with 500gb hd and dual core cpu for €520

not bad and will do what i need it for

"Dedicated ATI Card" is meaningless. Where does it rank on Notebookcheck? There are plenty of dedicated ATI cards that are no good/not worth the money in PC World, I gave up looking in there.

Cheers thanks for that, good to see review about the brand. I am going to Currys later on and see! Can they offer me any food for thought. I really don't want a windows 8 machine but it looks like I may have to think about compromising

i think its quite good but not for games as it doesnt have a dedicated processor. seems a bit expensive too. lenovo 580s would seem better value or a dell inspiron se. Im no big expert though.

As BO said it is over priced, considering you can get a quad core i7 for less monies.

BTW I got the Samsung laptop from Overclockers and it indead was ****e. I since got a macbook pro and love it, if you can afford it it is a far superior machine

no good for gaming as there is very little games available for it. Luckily this is not why I bought it
