    nah yer grand, thanks
i think the igo-l comes with a bit of wick so I should be ok, just annoyed I didn't hear anything all day

I bought 10m on Fri and it shipped Fri. I got it yesterday. I used his eBay link though.

Got an igo-l did you? Gets good reviews. Probably leaks through the air hole?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,555 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

i only had enough wick left to try 2 coils in the igo-s (the tinier version of the igo-l) .. not loving it, but when I get more wick tomorrow I'll give it another bash

the a7 is weirdly good. it's a 2.4 ohm coil and im running it on an ego but it's... decent. must be because of the airhole directly under the coil. flavour isn't great but that could be because of the low wattage. it's very strange to find a premade coil that is actually decent though. it's even neatly spaced and everything

Oh, you got an A7 as well? I like mine actually but the stock wick/coil in mine was ****e........a new wick and coil transformed mine.

Premades can be a bit hit or miss, although machine made, they arent infallible.

are they machine made? I thought they were hand made in the factory

yeah, i sold the spiral and bought the a7 and igo-l. wanted something small for an ego that didn't require bloody no resistance wire :)

    and bought one of these.

    keffff.jpg

It's the third one from the left, four rows back :P

First hybrid to tide me over until I can grab an Ihybrid LE :)

Today I ordered a Kanger Protank :) Also another couple of eGo batteries, 5 T3 heads, juices including Wingnut's Wibble, Vaperus Apple Pie, some Shire Malt and Longbottom Leaf for the husband, and some 18mg plain PG and VG plus loads of flavours to start mixing my own juices. Not sure I'll ever get into modding or rebuilding, but juice mixing sounds like fun!

is your a7 whistly at all when you're inhaling on it?
i wonder is it the a7 or just the ego battery im using not lining up correctly with the airholes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,305 ✭✭✭Green Hornet

Yes! It is whistley. I don't like that. I actually blocked one of the airholes and it sorted it out but the draw was too tight.

I don't really notice it now.....until you reminded me.

Have you rebuilt it yet? It's a lot more fiddly than the RDA or Bulli. Hard enough to get the second leg in without messing up the last turn on the coil. Gets easier with practice but make sure the legs are long.

I was thinking of putting a bit of mesh into the screw/airhole to tighten up the draw a bit and it might stop that whistle too.

Mine is a bit whistly but it stops with a thread cover screwed up to the a7, it also makes the draw a bit tighter.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,555 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

it looks very similar to the phoenix in terms of rebuilding. ill be getting wick tomorrow so I'll have a crack at it then

im actually really enjoying it. it's obviously nowhere near as good as a bulli/clockworks rda in their prime but for the price it's a cracking little atty. i think i said above 2.4 ohm coil on an ego battery and it's actually satisfying me.

    -edit
yeah I had a quick look around for a thread cover when i was ordering it, didnt see any so didnt get one. it's something i'll probably get in the future although imo the draw could do with being a bit airier...

    This ^

Yeah, it is very good, especially for the price too and all SS.

I've hardly used anything else for the last month.

i could see myself buying another one tbh. get one working as I like and use the other to experiment, they're cheap enough I could have 3-4 of them on the go so I wouldn't have to deal with flavourcreep between tobacco/coffee/menthol/fruit

going to wait until I give the igo-s a proper trial before I decide though. it's so small I want to love it, but it might have passed into the 'too small to work in' territory.

I couldnt handle the heat from the oid anymore so last night I got a small condom of a carto, put a little hole in the base of the condom, and glued it to the oid,(first time Ive had to use a small condom :-D ) tbh I didnt think it would work but its working great!
Feels kinda like a fag in my mouth and no more burnt lips.
If it comes loose I will just glue it again.
Never thought I'd say this sentence.....but a condom feels good in my mouth ;-)

I kinda liked the hot vape, fell out with the oid cos it started tasting 'off' oh and the recoiling was a pta.

Loved it Stcky, awesome device, hits like a champ. There was nothing to dislike whatsoever about it......so I just had to sell it :D

No, it's just, I keep reaching for the pipe at home, and when I'm heading out, I'm taking the EA mod, so realistically the paps was resigned to being a reserve team player.

It disearved to be used all the time and it will now, went to a fella in Australia of all places, t'was his first mech mod so he's starting off on the right foot anyway!

I've too much stuff coming in so I have to get rid of a few along the way. I still have the Astro coming, the brass Chi You, the keFf hybrid, the IQ hybrid, an Origen genesis and best of all, a Padauk Dragon :)
