Changing Course

Hi, I'm a first year student at UCD thinking of transferring to a different course.
I'm currently on the free fees scheme which pays around 5000EUR of the overall fees for the year.
For the other 2k I got a student grant.

If I was to switch courses, would I have to pay the whole 7k of the fees or am I still eligible for free fees which would pay the 5k?
I know I have to pay at least 2k either way but it's the 5k that worries me.

So just to be clear you are getting free fees and the maintenance grant?

If you change course for the next academic year, you will neither be eligible for the free fee scheme nor for the maintenance grant either.

You would only be eligible for either of these if your current program allows you to progress to Year 2 of another program.
