seller advised this route, this is how they usually get stuff shipped from dublin to anywhere in the country, rather than booking a dedicated courier

Ring one of the bigger courier firms and get a price. Many usually handle goods of most sizes and would have a network of delivery to regional towns so they should be able to help you out fairly promptly.
