Anyone know are the mock exams compulsory? I know some firms may make them mandatory but wondering does the institute enforce that?

Yes its income from sales on anything other than credit. Its kind of mentioned alongside receivables in session six and in chapter 10 of the Nolan book. But its always mentioned with receivables. Theyll hardly ask those two topics together so its hard to split them out to study them individuallly! Its like theres not enough information for revenue on its own.

Id say the fact that it hasnt been asked before could make it a possibility to come up this year :/.

    Nothings ever straight forward! :(

    Hi

Just wondering if anybody would be willing to post notes to date for CAP 2 Audit, FR and SFMA.

I am resiting these 3 this year and do not have access to any notes, if you could would be a great help, pregnant and due at end of july so hopefully be able to sit them in June but need to get started, so hard to get motivated when you are not attending class!

    Thanks:)

I went through the past audit CA papers today, looking for when areas have been examined.
No guarantees that I haven't made an error!

Looks like the particularly relevant ones are these:-

    Sat 8 Sep 2012 Revenue
Sat 3 Mar 2012 Trade Receivables
    Sat 17 Sep 2011 Bank & Cash
    Sat 7 May 2011 Inventories
    May 2010 Trade receivables
    Sep 2009 Inventories

Thanks for the list! :) I know it's silly to try and make predictions, but is anyone else thinking that Inventories seems the likely culprit this session...?

I'm feeling a little bit too comfortable in the run up to the exam! I have done basically nothing only read and summarise the 3 chapters and do the relevant past papers. Haven't 'learnt' anything, relying whole heartedly on my chapter summaries going in!

    Anyone else feeling suspiciously calm....?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69 ✭✭blizzard13

    here here... feel the same!

i dont work in audit either, so i prob shudnt be this relaxed!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46 katieanne56

I feel exactly the same, like I'm forgetting to do some essential preparations!

I'm under the impression it's going to be marked hard cause it's the same q's every year. Important thing to remember is every piece of information should be used, there will something wrong with everything.
Attached are some notes from a revision course last week.

So glad I'm not the only one feeling too calm! I'm also a non-auditor so was starting to worry!! Fingers crossed we'll get a good paper to deal with!!

I'm non auditor too, I think I'm in complete denial about having any exams at all.

I'm a non auditor too and studying this makes me glad I didn't go down that path....!!

Starting to freak out about the exams in June now, I go on study leave in 3 weeks!? WTF!? Cannot understand where the year went....?
