QFA's

Am thinking of a change in career & was Just wondering is there many jobs out there in financial advisor/pensions/investments roles for part or fully qualified qfa's . Would be a new career for me as have worked in hedge funds for the past 12 yrs. Would like to get away from the accounting roles i have focused on and move into the customer service/sales side of things. Will the QFA qualification get your foot in the door even if it meant starting again at the bottom.. ?any advice greatly appreciated.

From my experience every job I've applied for in the financial industry requests qualified or part qualified qfa. It's a pain to do them lately as they arent held as frequently.

More and more the QFA's are a prerequisite to do most anything in a customer facing role in banking/insurance, definitely worthwhile.

You can of course go ahead and do the exams independently, but most employers in the business will pay for you to do them.

Shouldn't be too much trouble to fit them in while your still doing your existing job, and elements of it should be a lot easier for you as your already working in the financial services industry.

Where can you study for QFAs? Are there classes/courses or are they 100% an online thing?

It is self study, but there are tutorials around the country and webinars online.
