In mircosoft ooutlook, I can delete emails straight from the pop-up notifier in the corner rather than going to outlook itself. Never noticed that until today.

that the so called people telling people what to do, have actually no idea themselves, and are only out for themselves and their own gain. (already knew this, but got it verified AGAIN this morning after listening to the news).

Montreal is not a country. I'm taking it that you mean Canada.

Taken from the qi wiki page

Krung Thep (forfeit: Bangkok) is the proper name for the capital of Thailand. Krung Thep roughly translates as 'City of Angels', like Los Angeles. The ceremonial full name for Krung Thep is the longest place name in the world. Los Angeles is also an abbreviation. Only ignorant foreigners call Krung Thep, "Bangkok".

Bangkock is just the port in Krung Thep

Did ignorant foreigners create most of the non-Thai signage in Bangkok? I've been and it's called Bangkok pretty extensively.

You could make the same argument with Milan/Milano and Munich/Munchen.

Milan and Milan are the same thing

I always thought that Munich was a translation of Munchen

I know it is extensively called Bangkok, that is why I said it is not obvious in the first place

I'm 38 and this is news to me - i always thought mummy was a milf with a thing for fat men:D
I just got Ruudi Mentari's username.

I just got it now too. How the hell can it be so obvious when you write it, but completely hidden when he does - that makes no damn sense!

Edit - I think my problem stems from how i imagined it pronounce ir roo-dee men-taa-ri as opposed to roo-di-men-ta-ri. If you get my gist!

Bangkok's official name is the longest city name in the world. No one would actually be bothered to say it in full.

Every line in Ian Brown's song F.E.A.R. spells FEAR....
    e.g.

    For each a road
    For everyman a religion
    Face everybody and rue
    F*** everything and rumble
    Forget everything and remember
    For everything a reason

Was singing along to it for almost two years before i copped it....!

I only realised relativley recently that the steel lever type thing at the end of most corkscrews is there to rest on the lip of the bottle when pulling out the cork, thus making the whole process a hell of a lot easier. I always assumed it was a bottle opener.
This knowledge has helped me shave whole seconds of my wine de-corking time...

I learnt through a thread yesterday that you do not call your "Adam's Apple" after your own name. For years i have always called it my "Hubert's apple" but no longer...
