Nothing new there sadly Wexford over the past several years had become a major suicide hot spot.

Has it always been that bad? 10 form 14 cases, say like 66%, jebus that's crazy stuff

Statistics show Wexford is way above the national average of 11.2 deaths per 100,000 - only second behind Tipperary North on the suicide rate per head of population.

In Co Wexford, the average per 100,000 people was 19.3 - more than eight points above the national average.

The HSE have limited staff available outside of normal working hours , which don't help anyone

Its the old "don't talk about that kinda thing" mantra. Remember last year the 2 girl (and later her sister) that commited suicide in Ireland that made the headlines well there was a school girl in wexford that took her own life last year but was hushed over barely mentioned.
