Trains from Konstanz, Germany

Hi all, My father in law is looking to travel by train from Konsatnz to Italy, does anyone know if this is possible?????????? He also wants to travel to western Austria, can this be done. I've tried googling train from Konstanz but getting no results worth looking at. Any help would be great..........................

Buy tickets on website is easy. Print your ticket and walk onto train. Good idea to book a seat on IE and EC trains. Its very cheap extra cost.
