Gutters - who do i look for to clean or repair

There is a leak and what looks like possibly a small hole in one of my gutters (2 storey house so hard to see exactly what's going on). I reckon they may need to be cleaned, repaired or replaced. How do I know who to call about this? I'm guessing it's neither a plumber or a roofer but what do you call a gutter professionals. Should I in the first instance just get someone who advertises gutter cleaning? Or go straight to someone who does repairs or replacements? Is this the sort of thing where I can expect to get someone to inspect them properly to give a quote, without having to pay out up front?

without cost south side handy person

If you were proficient using an extention ladder ,maybe/borrow etc and have a quick look yourself. It could be just a loose clip or a gutter joiner pce thats maybe come loose. A hand brush and garden hose will wash them out to let u see what youre looking a. Someone called out to look at a leaky gutter may charge u a call out and then whatever the repair is so be vigilant that u get what u pay for. If it is repaired ask them to test it for you before leaving.

Just to be aware, gutter sizes and forms have changed a lot over the years - it may not be possible to buy connecting parts and you may end up replacing the entire run of gutter if there is a problem with it.

I had to add a new down pipe to a long run of gutter because it couldnt cope with the heavy rains we have had in the last year - the roofer guy reckoned he got the last pieces of the right size in the country!
